Sir Jack smirks, trench coat fluttering. He fancies himself a street knight, and his voile is very much like his mortal gear

Ellie pops up to her feet to greet the strangers.

"Eleanor, this is Father V(name?) and Sir Jack, both of House Liam. They left Pacifica to come help us here years ago, and are invaluable to our operations."

A curtsy. "A pleasure to meet you both. I am Countess Eleanor Hyacinth de Violette."

"So you are the one shaking things up and taking charge of the childling set around here, making sure they're covered," Sir Jack bows, "Good work, Countess deViolette. I know our liege could use the help"

Ariel wrinkles her nose but lets that slide.

Father V comes forward and bows to the young lady, then smiles to all of them, "it's so good to see childlings about again. I had missed Tomas... despite some of the .. things he left inthe poor box"

"Bugs? Sounds like they would be bugs."

"The boy did love his bugs" Diego smiles

Maria and Roselita come in as well... and they brought food perhaps mis understanding why they would be here, perhaps not

Dame Ash enters with Phobos and Demos.

"...Is this a party?"

"If it is I wasn't told" Jack says

"It's a.... get together, Eleanor. For people to meet you." Quietly.

"Oh!"

And like that, she is 'on' - despite the leggings and daisy-printed shirt.

"She's a charmer isn't she?" Nancy trots up

"Hola, Nancy." Curtsy.

Jessica nods greeting to Nancy.

"Hello again, Ellie. You look so much better with the hair like that"

Ariel puffs up..she and Salma have contributed to that hair

"Ariel fixed it so it grew, and she and Salma helped me braid it today."

"Her hair is SO silky. " Ariel says

Jess quietly counts noses to see if all those invited are in place.

Soon everyone that was invited, and a few that weren't, are all gathered up

Salma fades into the background - easy for her to do, common as dirt, and also helped by the book held up to hide behind.

Constance seems to understand...she positions herself and Coy DeBuke (Who she is dating) as a large blue wall the girl can hide behind further to read

Jessica does not need those uninvited to leave. She taps a fork against her glass. "Everyone? Thank you for coming. This is... an informal gathering. I wanted to thank everyone for all the hard work and dedication over the last year, and I have some information to share with you. Does everyone have food and drink?"

Eleanor stands up very straight. Pretty feet, Ellie. Remember to smile - no, don't smile too big!

Those that don't soon do have a drink or food.. or both.

"Looks like we're all set" Diego says

Jessica nods, still standing. "Good. Please take a seat if you like. " She clears her throat. "As I was saying, thank you for everything you have done, are doing, and will do. And I do have one other announcement." She beckons Eleanor closer, and when they stand together, Jessica says. "I have chosen Elearnor to be the heir to Renaissance. My heir."

A deep dip of her head, acknowledging/accepting with humility.

Applause, Cheers, and then.. Diego speaks "I would liek to ask our future ruler some questions"

Nancy looks at Diego, "Diego. She's 7"

Jessica looks (down) at Ellie. "Will you take his questions?"

"Of course."

Jessica nods to Diego.

Diego nods "You may not be aware of the history of this place in full, you are new, and you are young, but large section of us are modernists, believing the rule of kings has been corrupt and ineffective. That while one can have a good noble, the system is broken and it is better to switch to a democracy. With your elevation, many of us will grow frustrated, angry, and feel betrayed..not because YOU have done anhything, but because you seem to ensure there will be little chance of progress. What will you do to ensure the voices of commoners are heard and have influence? "

"Diego, she's 7" Nancy says again as he pulls this.

Jessica frowns but does not interupt.

Ellie listens and bites on her lower lip.

"I... I would make sure to have a counsel, good advisors. And that some of my advisors would be commoners...."

"And a Reeve, of course."

"It's very important to have a Reeve."
