She backs away to let him go, but watches him.

Duff heads to the doorway..then pauses and looks back at her, "I know I know how you feel.. and it's okay that you .. it's okay. But I do love you, Jessica King"

A troubled shadow flashes over her features.

"I... thank you, Duff."

"Hey... it's okay"

Her eyes say it isn't, but she doesn't protest.

He stops "Do you want to talk?"

She shakes her head, sips.

"Wait for me... Mmm" He moves on.

She nods, and she does.

He's not gone long, but it will take time..

So she has this BEAUIFUL bed set up.. and..wine and her thoughts?

After a few minutes she sets her wine down and lights the candles. Sets up a little table for the meal.

And sure enough he shows

She is sitting at the table with her wine when he returns.

And lays out the food on the table "I lucked out... great little baja place had take out..." Wait..she ...is this from California? Did he take a trod? This ..this is one of the restuants she used to eat at back in ehr Cali days

She frowns, looks from the packages to him.

"I thought this used to be one of your favorite restaurants? "

"It is. Was. But you didn't have to risk going to Cali for this. Baja would have been fine, you can get that on the corner....."

"Risk?" a brow "Seelie or unseelie I am the Risk."

"The mortal authorities. Between the border and the pandemic....."

"So..what you're saying is... I crossed into a dangerous land... risked death of the most horrofying type... found a treasure, and brought it back to the lady I want to impress? Well, my word. I sound down right homeric."

"Verging on the Simpsons, yes."

He blinks, then snerks "Okay, now I need more wine"

Jessica starts setting food out for them while he gets another glass.

And he joins her again, "Simpsons eh?"

"Yes. Homeric Simpson."

"Doh"

Eyebrow.

"I'm wondering how you will look with your hair up... straight up" Deadpan

"Keep wondering." Dry.
