She nods. "What do you know, so far?"

"Her story matches up, in many ways, with what you said. She said that Paler had hopes, but then no use for her. She has vitiligo, I think it is. We're calling her Phoebe, although I think she was called Splotch before coming here. She claims abuse after her father cast her out."

"Aye..." A frown.

"And plausible. But it could also be a ploy."

"Ah, poor me, pity me, trust me..."

Jessica nods. "Exactly."

They can go visit father V at the Cathedrel, or have him (And possibly Phoebe) sent for

Jessica asks Zara. "Would you like to visit Father V, or have him and Phoebe come here?"

"Tis your hold, I trust your judgement. I may work at either place."

She thinks. "Well. I'd prefer to keep her out of here until we know more. Protect Fenix."

"Then we go to the priest."

Jessica nods and stands. "Let's go."

Zara nods, and follows.

Jessica grabs a large war-hammer type weapon, but goes without armor. "Demos," since his brother is off healing and hopefully resting on some laurels "I'm going with Zara to Father V's."

"Want an escort?" Demos says

"Who's available?"

"Me, Coy...Dil"

She thinks. "I want you on duty here, Demos. Jeff Culpepper is too important to risk. Coy has Ariel to be here for, at least at first. Let's have Dil."

Dame Dil hears of it, and shows, the young wilder is armored and ready to go.

She bobs her head "Good lady."

"Zara, this is Dame Dil. She is a relatively recent addition to the County. Dame Dil, this is Zara."

"An honor...the side car has been attached to your bike, your excellency" Dil adds

"We should have no trouble transporting the three of us" Dil says

Zara is quiet, ready to go.

"Would you rather take my car, Zara?"

"The sidecar is fine."

Jessica, while no granny (THANK YOU VERY MUCH), isn't a wild-ass reckless driver (LIKE SOME PEOPLE WE COULD MENTION) and gets them all to the Cathedral safely.

Zara studies the building with curiosity.

The Cathedrel is a lovely building, the best term might be Iberian Gothic... and yet, this rise it is built on speaks of it having nestled on the site of another religion.

"Hmm." Jessica is thoughtful as she takes off her helmet.

Zara tucks the helmet and goggles away.

Dil puts hers away as well

The Cathedrel doees not gloat... despite its grand spires.

"Let's find Father V." And she heads in.

A nun greets them first, a quiet pale woman... "Please" she whispers "We encourage you to stay safe, keep distance... God will under.. ah," She says "Forgive me. I see you have some exemptions" The nun is a sluagh.

Jessica blinks. "Um. Sister... I don't think we've met?"

Zara smiles softly and offers a bow to her kithmate.

"we have not. I do not go to fenix often, countess. you seek the father?" she returns the gesture

Jessica nods. "And your guest here."

"follow me, please" she gestures and leads them not to the center of the cathedrel, but to the side. it grows dark, and jessica and dil might straight to see

"oh, apologies, i forget" the nun says. she reaches to the wall "light forthcoming"

Zara does not mind the dark, but she understands that trolls would struggle...
