A frown. "I don't know the knight but I hope he is ok?"

"Oh, he's in trouble with his arcadian mother and father and probably sister... and his wife's ticked, but he's on the road to recovery. Emma's a good healer, sweet too. She's a possum pooka and if you give her grief she'll lay on you and make you tsay in bed.. in furry form"

A blink. Then an expression that seems to say Oh, yes. Fiona hold.

"Not THAT way" A light swat "Emma's an angel. " A frown "Shit. I just thought of something"

"What?" Unperturbed by the swat.

"Sis. I think part of the smuggling chain might be in Tijuauna or at least Baja"

"It's a problem here, true. Why do you think so?"

"Something Magnus said when he was trying to get my help to call Emma off. I went to visit him after his family did." She ponders this "he said it was across the country from far south west to high North East and beyond.... mexico to Canada."

Jessica nods. "Mexico is a big place, Siv, although I -know- for a fact we have human trafficking here in Renaissance."

"Do you now? " A thought "Duff would know more details, wouldn't he? "

A frown. "Not necessarily. About this situation. In particular."

"Do you mind if I ask him anyway what his contacts might dredge up? Could be of a big help to my friends persuing things at the other end"

"Yes, actually, I do. But I'll talk to him."

"Oh" her sister seems surprised "I.. sorry, didn't realize I was stepping into something you wanted unstepped. Glad I asked." Curious brow "might I ask why you mind?"

Jessica doesn't answer right away. She pauses, then moves towards where a kind of all-day buffet is; useful when a 24/7 operation needs to provide food and drink.

"Coffee?"

"Sure ," recognizing it's an offer that allows more communication later, "I like mine a bit heavy on the sugar but not as much as Vali"

and she prepares it as it is a buffet set up

Jessica gets her own coffee, then.

"Sometimes I even try DeCaff. I think mother despairs"

Eyebrow.

"Oh sis ,some of it now adays does taste as good as the real thing"

A head shake.

Slow and sad.

A put upon sigh, then "So...why do you mind?"

A shrug.

"Ok. Somethings are private. I'm learning that" A sip "mmm nice beans down here"

She nods, and seems quietly relieved. "Are you drinking bean juice?" Dubiously.

"Coffee.. I.. fff.. are you funning me?"

"Oh." She pauses, then laughs softly.

"Oh man....."

She chuckles.

"Hurumph. You and da, both comedians with me lately. Dagmar got this camera that takes chimerical photographs..." She reaches into a pocket and pulls out a purely chimerical photograph "Took this one of dad and me..." It's a hug side to side thing, sweet. "The other one I didn't realize she was going to do and I had my mouth open. Dad says he wanted that one so he'd recognize it as me. "

"No, sorry, Siv. Laughing at myself. Let me see." She takes the photo when offered. "Nice." A fond smile.

"Thanks. Sometime I'd like to see if we could borrow it, get a few more. One of you for me, and yeah, probably mom and da would want one too.. what do I mean probably? Definitely they'd want that. And you could ask them to get you a copy of them together. One with the whole fam maybe?" Pleased

"The painting isn't enough?" dryly.

"For our mom and da? What do you think?"

A brow

"Ok."

"How's Cinder?"

"She's good. Want to go say hi?"

"Love to" she says

Jessica nods, sets down her coffee, and leads the way.

And they go to see Cinder, who is happy to see them

"Hello, Cinder." She smiles and offers a treat, which she picked up in the kitchens on thier way.

Cinder takes it "mm thank you. Oh Siv is here too. What's the occasion?"

"Just visiting, upsetting the apple cart, and taking advantage of my sister's good graces" Siv says "You look grand, Cinder. Love the mane"

"I am brushed quite nicely," Cinder says then nods to Jessica "Your sister and I sometimes ride out to deal with wild nightmares"
