"This is John Longfeather." She introduces "John, this is Constance; she cares for the library here. Constance, John comes to us at the request of Duke Tierone to help us make contact and progress with the local Nunnehi."

"Excellent, you'll need the notes."

Constance starts to pile on notebooks, sources, and records

"He's brought some of his own, but I wanted to have you two share what we have, combined."

John stares "you have.." He looks over the pile in his arms "Given this some thought"

"At the CHapulleh's interest" she says

Jessica nods.

"I think I have a lot of reading to do" he says

(Pause)

"I would like to read the materials you brought, if possible."

"Certainly, happy to trade" He reaches into his pack and one by one, pulls out some large and medium sized books.. that really shouldn't fit but do.

She takes them with care.

He came prepared, some very well reviewed mortal books... and yes, notations by Western Kithain explorers!

"Constance, look....."

"I see.. oh my... this has a Rover mark!"

Jessica checks it.

And there it is, notations on trods, near dreaming... more mainland... but some of the travel is done in the Autumn WOrld. There are notes about desecreation, and stolen treasures pissing off the locals

She nods. "That would make sense."

"You're welcome. May I say the notes on interaction here are amazing. You've met them in battle and talked to them both. Rare."

He reads on, "Really, drawn to the Pitt right away.. but pleased fighting was occuring"

She nods. "I admit, it gives me concerns for establishing peace."

"I think in a way, it maybe a way to channel the violence. Some aztec dreams are made for sports and games...this might... contain "

Jessica nods. "Yes. I could see that."

"Much like your western Pennons... imagine if we could settle matters by duels between champions rather than whole squads?" He writes some notes down of his own.

"We can." She blinks.

"i'm spitballing here.. nothing to hang your crown on..yet"

A flicker of awkwardness over 'crown' but she nods. "It all seems logical."

"oh I'm all about the logic... and looking good. "

Jessica nods. "Constance, take most of this stuff and see what you can find out? I'll keep one, read through it and then trade out. John, I'll leave you with Constance and make arrangements for your stay."

"Yes, your excellency" She says

A definite wince. "Constance, please don't."

"Pardon?" She looks confused

"I know technically that's my title, or will be, but we don't need to use it when it's just us, right? Jessica is what I'm used to."

Constance smiles, "But it's not just us." A glance to John

John looks up, "You don't like the title? Huh."

"John's going to be here, helping, and.... look, just...." a defeated sigh.

"Yes, Jessica. " Constance says. The trollish scribe has a kind look for a moment and nods

"Okay, thanks. John, I'll be back but if you want to leave before I get back Constance can give you directions to the Balefire and I'll have someone there to get you to your room."

"Appreciate it, " John says "Ah.. Freeholder"

Constance nods, "here, let me transcribe some of this."

"Thank you for coming, John." And she takes a book on her way out to go get John's accommodations organized.
