Much much later

Tweak frowns in her perfectly-squeaky chair in the Forge, going through papers in the file cabinets, sorting things out. Earlier her life was threatened. Then she claimed a balefire. Now she has to arrange some things. It's been a hell of a day.

Symond comes in, "You wanted to see me, Jeffe?"

A sigh. "Yeah, bitchlette. Cop a squat." She indicates the work stool near the bench.

"Yeah?" She does

Tweak eyes her measuringly. "How shit goin' fer you at th' Pit, chica?"

"Sux... Co Op is getting kicked out... so my third is gone... but hey, at least we get a hold of our own"

"Yup. Jus' one problem. You ain' goin' there."

"The fuk?" She blinks "What the hell? I haven't tried to power crafts with the blood of innocents in almost a year."

"I hear you, an' that musta been hella tough while you surrounded by that Pit vibe. But nah, I gotta dif'rent gig for ya, an' I sure as fuck be hopin' you takes it, cuz I ain' got no one else I think c'n do it." A glance at the pipes and workbenches of their surroundings, and a sigh. "I wantin' you to take over th' Forge fer me."

"The forge here?" She blinks , "With the water cooling and the glamour flow access? And.. THIS workshop forge?" Of course, which else, but she's still stunned.

"Wise up, girl, what else you think I be talkin' bout? 'Course this Forge!" Another look around. "She be knowin' you, an' you be knowin' her. You done worked wit' Bluetooth, too, so ain' like you a stranger to her, neither. I just...." She pauses and rubs her face a bit. "Done woke this place up...don' want her t' get all lazy an' sleepy when I bug out to th' new spot."

"No kidding, be like letting a classic muscle car rust..." This being a most unforgivable thing

She runs her fingers over the forge's edge, looking lost in thought "You gonna come in here every after noon tell me what I'm doing wrong?"

Narrowed eyes. "Ain' gonna have time fer that shit. You think that what you be needin'?"

"Shit no" A snort, "you just watch. I'm gonna make some shit that'll break your brain its gonna be so good. You're gonna be putting 'Mentor to Symond' on your job applications and referrels because that's what's gonna stand out most"

A snerk. "You talkin' some shit. Hope you be able to step up an' show whatchoo got. I be thinkin' next Pennons, you an' me, we gonna be having a bit of a showdown, friendly-like, right?"

"Yeah, and you know, if you like..go through withdrawl from not giving me grief... you can drop by once a ..week maybe? " A snort ...but something more "I wouldn't want you to get the shakes."

"Pfft. Well, figger you gonna need somebody what c'n tell ya's which way th' damn screws get tightened." A snort...might be covering a sniff. "So...ah...here, I be plannin' on takin' my designs what my own, but th' shit what be here when I got here? That, plus anything what got yer name on it, that shit be stayin'. Make sense?"

"yeah.. you know if you want... that slide rule abacus combo ... the one you had me make with the Kaballah runes? You.. you could have it, right? I mean, you were hovering to show me how to.. I mean, push me around to do it so more yours than mine anyway"

Tweak nods, quiet for a moment, then clears her throat and stands. A hand on the back of the perfectly-squeaky chair, she pauses a moment before saying, "This here came wit' th' joint, stays wit' th' joint. Try 'er out."

"Yeah? I.. huh" She sits down. It squeaks, of course. And she settles "Hey this.. this isn't drek"

"Naw...naw, it ain't." It's another moment before she lets go of the back of the chair, giving it a little pat. "So...uh...jus' so you know...this here Forge? She, uh...she special. She help fix me when I been broken. Help put me back t'gether. So...uh...so you gotta respect her, right? She done a lot...she deserve mad props. You hear me?"

"She's top shelf" she says after a pause.. awkard.

Then... "Heck, made it look like you knew what you were doing even"

A smirk, and an eloquent middle finger.

Then another look around..."Help me carry this shit out." She indicates two boxes of files and gear, things she considers hers. She grabs one box and heads out the big double-doors.

"Sure thing, Wrenchmeister" And she pops out of the chair and grabs one, "You explained to your Spidery Other that he can't use the new place as a bordello?"

"What be makin' you think he can't?" Outside the doors, she puts down the box and looks inside again...then shoves the doors closed and locks them with the single big brass key on her key ring. Then she takes the key off the ring, and offers it over to Symond.

"Fah, unless you found a way to channel the energy from that, what's the point of wasting space?" Then she eyes the ring, closes her eyes for a moment, a breath, and Symond takes it. "uhm thanks."

Tweak nods. "I come back fer that," she indicates the box Symond was carrying. "You go say yer fuckin' hellos." A nod back at the double-door.

"Yeah, okay" A nod

Jessica is finishing up with a staff member in the hallways. ".... sure, and just leaving it in my room. Thanks."

Tweak picks up her box and walks out into the hall. "Oh...yo, B."

Symond actually follows

"Hi, Tweak." She notes the box. "Moving?" Not unkindly.

"Yeah, I...." she pauses and shoots a look at Symond. Then she shrugs and looks back to Jessica. "Wenchlette here, she be takin' over th'Forge, on my say so." Bracing for a possible argument.

Symond straightens, "Yeah... you're gonna need someone who knows how to use the forge here."

Jessica nods agreement.

A narrow look at Symond. "...almost as good as th' one what been here so far, is what you tryna say."

"I expect collaboration, guys."

"At least my hearing works.." Mumble

"Wouldja settle fer healthy competition?" Tweak smirks.

"Yeah yeah... Mama Capataz is on the invite list..." Symond says

"Only whem we don't need collaboration." Firmly.

"Likewise, Bitchlette, you comin' over so's I c'n gloat on what we got at th' new place." Pause. "Still need a name."

"Yeah, yeah, B...we ain' gonna make a rift, if that what you be sayin'."

"Yeah... crafters and guilds and nockers especially ... it's like... competition makes us better.... but we're still gonna jump on some outsider "
