She catches up, nods. "Other damage?"

"Well, eh was dead. We kept him in the hold until his fae soul revived." Mitra said "There were more losses... if not for Tweak's devices..." A sigh "it would have been worse."

Nancy's face starts to tear up, "Ricardo.. uhm.. there were guns and things."

"Ricardo?" Hoarsely.

Mitra says "The..idiot pooka.. was no fighter" as if she is angry with Ricardo

"It was a .. a mortal death" Nancy nods

Jessica looks away into the shadows of the cave. "Others?"

"No other mortal deaths" Mitra says "A few chimerical ones. There was an attack launched by the Baron Summerstrike... his forces were manipulated by the Thallian... thanks to the bussard shields... " The Eiluned says "Well...their soveriegn didn't do them very much good"

The news of only one death is.... bittersweet.

"We repelled the attack on the Countess, obviously. What happened then?"

"So very much" Mitra says "Well, it's complicated... "

"Mitra, I can't say how much I appreciate everything you have done, and do, but can I also point out I haven't had coffee in a month?"

"I'll get some... could save a life" Nancy says not entirely joking.

"Well, the nocker forces repulsed the attack on Fenix hold even while you saved the Countess outside it but someone tried to get their hands on Shuri..."

"SUCH a bad idea..." Nancy observes as she gets that coffee

"Actually, it's possible Shuri wasn't a target and they were after Nec... but it was Shuri who NEARLY got hurt..." Mitra says

"But she's ok??"

"SHE Is fine," Nancy says "Summerstrike's hold nearly got demonolished by a Mecha made out of used cars"

"Once she made sure the baby was okay... Nec had killed two men, she .. took the coop and in what seemed like no time created something she refered to "Optimus Furking Beastmode- Mother of payback""

Nancy hands over the coffee while Mitra continues that last "It.. it just ripped into the remaining forces of SUmmerstrike and... scattered them like cornflakes with a blow drier... she destroyed his mortal dwelling..."

Jessica nods, drinking the elixr. No problems so far.

"Kind of overkill that" Nancy says

Mitra says "And I thought mother TROLLS were protective."

"Long story made slightlly less long... you and the countess were both poisoned by a slow acting venom... one cursed! "

"Which one?"

"you want the name of the poison?" A brow

"No, which one of us were cursed?"

"Yes" Nancy says

"I mean the poison itself was cursed," Mitra sighs "Apologies, none of us have slept well"

"It's ok. Keep going."

"It was nearly legendary venom, should have killed you both... but Fenix is...,well, amazing. We would cut you open every day, bleed the poiison , heal you.. the poison would renew inside of you... and so on. ANy other place you'd have died. Your fae souls devoured."

Jessica looks stunned. "And.... the Countess?"

"Saved by the same quest that saved you" Mitra says

A fortifying, delaying drink. "Who quested?"

"A half dozen people. Not to be rude, but most did it for the countess rather than you." Mitra says

"Only one succeeded" Nancy said "And only recently. That's why it took so long for you to revive."

She shakes her head. "I'm fine with helping Countess Danya over myself. Who.... who succeded?"

"He asked not to be named" Mitra says "Regardless ,it was not without price. Anyway... the Countess woke before you..and is catching up. Summerstrike has been deposed. He should have been for multiple reasons, not the least of which is falling for Thallian ruses that tried to play all sides off against each other. With the loss of one his best generals for a near month, the Kingdom of the Feathered Serpent had a hard time in other areas, but as this area is peaceful... more or less... Duke Topaz did the only thing he could to focus forces."
