Jessica looks a little disoriented for a moment. "Excuse me, Countess...." she reaches, finds a seat, and sits.

"Of course. I'lll be on my way" The dcountess says

Evertyhing is changing, has changed, and will change further

"Yo, B!" Tweak swaggers into the room, accompanied by Shuri in a walker that's decked out like an exoskeleton. The baby blows raspberries at Jessica in greeting.

Tweak herself is chewing on a cigar. It's unclear when she picked up that habit, but it looks natural on her.

Jessica looks..... ragged. But at least not dead.

Tweak snerks at her. "You look like shit." An up-nod to Duff. "Seen you look better, too."

"Good to see you too, Tweak"

Amused

Jessica rubs the base of her horns, then her face; an echo of Frank's beard-rub.

"Damn right," Tweak agrees with Duff. "So, B...y'ain't dead. That's a thing. They tell ya 'bout Optimus?" She's clearly VERY proud of that accomplishment.

"Yes, they did." A small smile. "Good job, Tweak. I'm glad Shuri's looking well, too." The baby gets another, slightly bigger, smile.

Shuri grins "OP-TO-Mas... BOOM"

WIDE EYES. "She's talking now?!?!"

Shuri laughs

Well giggle snort

"Girl got fuckin' INSPIRED!" Tweak says proudly.

"I don't suppose you'll be selling those... I might know a client" At mention of the Optimus bits, Duff looks intrigued

Jess rubs her horns again. "It was only a month.....?"

"TWenty eight days, it was only a month if it was febuary, which it wasn't" Duff corrects gently

She gives him a -look-.

"Might could. You an' me talk later," she nods to Duff.

"An' my girl? Once she gotta thing in mind, she be OFF wit' it! I mean, damn, she 'bout to take over this here place."

A tired grin. "Maybe she'll make her own place."

"Uhhhh....not like I mean she tryna oust ya or nuthin, B..."

"Yeahhhh....'bout that...."

"Yes?"

She looks at the haggard trolls in front of her, considers her strategy, then says, "Nah, y'know what? It c'n wait." She switches the cigar she's chewing on to the other side of her mouth.

"Summerstrike's barony." Jessica leaps. Well, hops. She's tired.

"Geez, well, if ya insist on talkin' 'bout it now...." A generous shrug. "Sure, why not. Th' collective c'n take it off yer hands." Falsely casual.

"Its not -on- my hands, Tweak."

"You...you ain' plannin' on claimin' it? I mean, after all that shit?" Astounded.

Duff laughs, "Oh you shouldn't have said that, Jessica. Ownership is often a matter of who has the balls to claim something. You could have sold it to two or three people"

"It has -been- claimed. It's part of the Duke's lands now."

"Yeah, well...sure, but he gonna need somebody t'run th' place. An' I does have a agreement what ain' been honored yet...."

".... which is why I will recommend you, if asked."

"Could have bargained for your recommendation too." Duff says "Seelie" A shake of his head.

Jessica gives him an annoyed look.

"Well, it be the wisest choice you c'n make, ain't it? Plus, there be some fuckin' justice there, too! We take 'em down, we get th' spoils!"

Duff raises his glass to toast Jessica's annoyed look.

The toast does not seem welcome.

Duff looks to Tweak, "I think you have a good pitch, Tweak. But you may have to try a mix of bribery and extortion on the Duke. He's going to need some place to stay."

"Huh. So...like...a guest suite or some shit? I dunno..." She snorts. "Pfft. Nobles. Glad you ain' never really bought inta that shit, B."

A shrug.

Duff rises "I think I've lived out my welcome. " A slow limp "Unless one of you needs me for something?"

"You wanted to talk to Tweak about parts." She murmurs quietly.

A dubious look at Jessica, then she says to Duff, "Gotta cut her a break...she been mostly dead all month. So, look, you an' me, le's talk Optimus."

A gesture. "See? Wavelengths." She starts to head out of the room with Duff. "So what exactly you got in mind?"

He turns at that, "Honestly? I know it tends to break down when mortals see it, the mists can only handle so much, but on Samhain... There's a lot it could do and NO one remember much, at least for a year."

Shuri stays with Jessica, in her lap.
