"We've... ah got somewhat to tell you" Siv says

Brow furrow. "Yes?"

A look to Piper from Siv

Piper clears her throat a little. "Ah, well. The thing is." She looks to Jonas, and over to Siv.

A slight frown. "What is wrong?"

"We're... prmmphnrmmrt.."

perhaps a bit of a mumble there.

A blink. She looks to Siv for translation.

Frank is frowning deeply, on guard.

Jonas says gently "There is a major upcoming transition in our lives together"

Siv nods at that "Yes. That"

Grateful nod. She tries again, slightly clearer, but quiet, "We're pregnant." Symon would be easier to hear.

And Frank is sitting very, very, still.

A blink. She looks at each of them in turn.

Piper's cheeks color a bit.

"That...is..."

She clears her throat. "When you say 'we'...?"

Siv says "It's a bit complex" She admits "Let's just say Beltaine is a hellofathing. Piper will be carrying the child"

A complex series of emotions flicker across her features, and then settle. "Well...congratulations, Piper." A nod. "And to all of you." She glances at Frank. "This is a surprise."

The chief may well know that Jonas was not around for Beltaine, he was on a quest that took him from River Vale for quite some time...

She pauses with her mug halfway to her mouth as this thought occurs to her. Her brow furrows again as she sets the cup down. "You said Beltaine." A concerned look to Jonas.

Piper follows the glance, and nods. "Beltaine."

Jonas holds up a hand gently "It's as Siv said, complicated. At the time, I was very strongly missed, so... inadvertantly, I was ...summoned, a in a sense. " He is aware they are there in a mortal establishment and tries this "Siv stood in for me in a way"

Siv goes PURPLE . She's a Fiona sure, but this is .. her parents

A frown. "I do not understand." And not understanding is making her irritable.

A glance, and waiting for the Waitress to pass away after a coffee check. "Siv is the father."

Siv facepalms

NO ping of falsehood.

Jonas nods , confirming this "Actually, father will be my title for simplicity sake and it was my.. form that was emulated" This last in a quieter near whisper

Frank.... colors. It's an interesting shade.

"And, Siv... you know she can..." A vague finger wiggle.

Though, Rite of Ignorance and all, one soon realizes that very few people in public places actually listen or care...

"...Drive Stick?"

Piper finishes.

"Perhaps there was some degree of ...overcompensation, unanticipated, of course, for my absence" Jonas admits

Siv is too tall to slide under this table.

Brekke has gone pure bluescreen.

That last comment from Piper makes her put up her hand to forestall further comment. "Stop. Please."

"ALRIGHTY, here we go!"

Maureen sweeps back with platters of steaming food.

Siv gets toast with the eggs on top. Close enough?

"UHm. thanks" Siv nod nod nods

Brekke is actually startled by the waitress's reappearance. "Ah. Yes."

"This is wonderful, thank you, Maureen" Jonas assures

After being assured that they have all they need, and a slightly curious look at the large blushing woman who wants to slide under the table, the waitress heads to check her other tables.

She waits as the food is put down, and then silently nods her approval.

Approval for the news? Oh no, just the food. Siv goes back to wishing she could climb under the table

As soon as Maureen is gone, Brekke leans a bit closer across the table. "You are saying," she whispers, "that Siv...changed? On Beltaine? Into..." A gesture towards Jonas. "And that is how...?" a similar gesture towards Piper.
