They're so brittle, like eggs where the robins within have had just about enough.

It is almost lost in the boys 'leaking' but there is glamour in the kitchen of the house, a working. She would identify it as a chicanry most likely

A soft hiss, and she circumlocutes the garden to get to the kitchen unseen.

This she does. She sees her, a slender and lovely Eshu in middle eastern voile ... and there is the mortal mother going "Oh yes, of course, they're with my Aunt for the 4th... how silly"

Narrowed eyes, and she pulls at a thread of the working, unweaving.

"Of course," the Eshu smiles, then her elegant eyes widen as Bess starts to look confused. The Eshu says "Well, shit..." And tasers Bess instead "Shit shit shit"

Zara... grabs whatever is nearest, and flings it at the Eshu's head.

Zara is not physical, but her nimble fingers do her proud as she latches onto a ... oh no, not the tea pot, can't risk that, a heavy bowl containing popcorn, and WHAMS the Eshu

"Hey, I saw them first.. not like a mortal can keep them!" The Eshu protests

"There's a hold here, and their fathers."

"Ask Tzipporah how much mischpocha matters to the Many-names, and see how I would take stealing two chrysalids from their home, aye?"

Something Zara says has the Eshu on guard but there's a "First come, first serve I think. But maybe we could each take one"

"Ah, no. That is not acceptable."

Zara draws herself up to her full height. "I shall politely request that you take your leave of this place. If you wish, I can offer you three days hospitality at Earth Runes. It is a fine hold, with many stories, and - forgive my bias - an excellent library. I would be pleased to share tea with you. And, with how the nature of your kith works, we may well encounter my sister and cousin in the most beneficial coincidence of timing."

The Eshu looks surprised, this time by the mannerisms, "You're a very mannerly foil, if you don't mind me saying? But you see, there are holds out there, desperate for new life, who will take care of those childlings, treasuring them. It's not fair Earth Runes should thrive while other places empty and fade, don't you think?"

"And there are chrysalids who do not have fae parents and a home waiting for them. Such... could be found, aye?"

"My feet brought me here" She explains

"They did. It may be one of the boys is inclined to a wandering foot. My mother is a nocker, and look how I turned out." A wry, toothless smile.

"All the more reason for me to take the boy along with me" She points out "I understand the nobles here are well thought of, but aren't you worried the boys will be brought up to their service?"

A sharp laugh.

"Think you I kneel?"

"Mm to be fair, you don't look the type" The Eshu concedes "Very well, a bargain, if EITHER boy is an Eshu, or both, I take him"

"Eshu are best raised on the road, but... their fathers do have the right to know them, for they are full-blooded fae. There is no reason to deny them that family. Even the winds may find a safe harbor, a'times."

"I'd be happy to bring either back in a year or two see their fathers" She says "Perhaps send notes of how they fare.... look I..."

Zara levels an unblinking gaze at the Eshu.

And then, there is twin explosions... as TWO Chystalids break open at the same time!

Fireworks made manifest... and multifold... starfire dragons and Rainbow moted unicorns

The Eshu turns and grins , "how exciting?" Even as the wave engulfs her and Zara both threatening to carry them away

August, should he be nearby, will DEFINITELY see twin explosions of Chyrsyiss engulf a suburb where a mortal he knows dwells!

"Well, we shan't be alone for long." And she goes outside to see the boys.

As she moves forward, the wave threatens to sweep her up... like a tide rushing in
