Zara is walking through the halls of Earth Runes, gliding might be a better word for her grace, SKULKING might be what some would label it for she is a sluagh.

The CLACK sound , to her ears, is quite loud, wood striking the stone floor. It's from near an entrance in the building.

Curiosity is an even louder beacon than the clatter.

It is only a small detour to investigate, after all.

The exit/entrance is a side door, one of those oft overlooked ways in or out, which means, of course, Zara knows all about it. Where the glorious front entrance is quite grand, and the entrance exit to the gardens is tranquil, this is something more often used by lovers trying to sneak in and out (Often failing) or those servants who just want to go about their duties. In the entry/exit way here though, she sees perhaps a servant must have been working, though she sees no sign of their passing. A broom has fallen, apparently of its own accord.

Company's coming she thinks to herself.

She looks about, and sniffs the air.

Indeed, she looks at the broom almost pointing out the door. She smells the air. It is the 4th... and soon things will get OBNOXIOUSLY loud.

Yet the broom indicates something, or some one, awaits without?

She slips stealthily outside.

She goes out into the oh so slow day light. It is evening at yet the greedy sun is reluctant to part

THere is a feeling of something building, and more than the pop pops of fire crackers in the distance

She feels a glamour in the air... distant? How can she feel what it is distant? Unless.. it's of some import to the hold?

A tiny frown. "Octa, Sesta, Nova, spread out and see what there is to see."

And they do... and they go far. She waits, patient, even as fireworks increase, becoming more annoying to her delicate ears

A frowny squint.

Then, suddenly, Nova can be heard 'Children... children in the Phoenix flame'

"Show me?"

And soon, she has returned, and clambers on to Zara's shoulder, and 'point's the way

They make their way across Zara's river, not a hard path ,for she knows it well and there is no bird to track.

Zara 'follows', trusting her spiderlings to lead.

A friendly serpent slithers through the water, still feeling smug after its last victory here.

Fingers trail in the water, to meet and praise.

They move onward, and forward, and head towards the area where... suburbs? Why does this look familiar? Zara is not a suburb sort.

More fireworks, night is falling, and they are being launched in earnest

She makes a noise that would be a yelp, had she a voice.

Earplugs. She has earplugs....

She finds them and puts them in. Oh sweet bliss

Ah... oh...a thought, and she quietly ticks off years.

Has it really been six years? Perhaps six and a half , since Bachdion and a certain Vince did grace the then carnival queen with a powerful.. uhm blessing.

She knows that both fellows check on their sons.

But they are of an age where if they ARE kithain... something glamorous might 'stir' them

At that moment, while not glamorous to most sluagh, there is a cascade of silver and red fireworks

She prods at the house, kenning. An incipient chrysalis might be felt at the hold - of course, once they actually flare, it would be felt across the county.

Oh yes, and they'd be in danger in their way. THere is a reason perhaps that the hold itself tried to warn someone

She closes on the house proper, and sees two boys. THere are are lawn chairs in the yard, they occupy two of them! well, Dylan does, Gerard is bouncing to the side of his "The colors!"

Queen Bess calls from the door "Second and I'll get the popcorn. Be glad our neighbors are so nice"

She finds a good hidey spot to crouch down and observe.

It would appear there ARE nice neighbors, who are putting on quite a display. As a kin to nockers, plural, Zara is no stranger to such artistry, though she often wishes it could be ...toned down.

The boys whoop and holler and... spark.

They are already cracked just a bit, she can see. They are likely SEEING things here and there.
