"The ways of sluagh are strange to me, " She admits "But I shall try to remember. I have been told that sluagh prefer older foods, and that they invest great value in information, and that one should not yell near them. It is cruel"

She nods. "Manners are of great import. Tis rude to shout." She places some danish butter cookies on a plate.

"is it true your kith will black mail a lordling with their shames? it seems unsavory if so" She is trying to be polite but she is a curious and ignorant and a childling

"Blackmail? How uncouth."

"Oh" A blush

A pause "Mister Gloom and his three daughters seemed nice. As was Symon"

"The Denier? Aye. You may well spot others of my kith here, should you stay."

"I do not know" She admits

"I could, mayhaps, introduce you to Mother Drott."

"Mother drott? " A listen "She is well spoken of."

"Tis an Aesin hold she oversees. It... is not, mayhaps, where I would choose to reside, but it is not so bad a place."

"I suppose" A nod "Though I was trying to learn more outside the House. It is my belief,' A blush "oh I shall sound foolish"

"Why?" She pours the tea into two delicate cups. It is a rich, vibrant blood-red liquid.

"When Aesin first arrived, I am told, we were utterly unempathic to any one different. I still don't care for sons of adam and daughters of even unless they're kin. But we treated other kithain as if they were lesser, but however grand the crown of a tree, it will die without the roots. With out the leaves it gets no light. without the trunk it cannot stand. without the fruits it cannot spread progeny. I don't want to be..cut off from other kith" A sigh "I did have a thane. I thought itw ould be nice for him to be my thane again. But...' A blush "he didn't want to be. i don't understand other kith at all. I am TRYINg to, it is hard"

She takes a sniff at the tea, and then says "To your health" And sips it

Zara added quite a bit of sugar to the girls. It's sweet and tastes of berries.

"Mmm!" She says

"It is hard to understand other kiths - but taking the time and effort to learn will pay off. This is not a bad hold for such, we have many kiths here."

"I suppose" A curious tilt "Have you heard of a hold called Silverwolf?"

She tenses slightly. "Aye."

"Is something wrong with it?" Curious as only a child can be "Symon did not think we should bother them?"

"There is enmity between the sluagh and the Varich."

"Oh, is that still going on?" A nose wrinkle "Seems silly"

"Oh, I agree - to hold onto a grudge for so long, because one so desperately needed someone to blame?" She shakes her head. "But the falseness of the accusation does not make the risks for sluagh any less real."

"But aren't the sluagh still working against the Varich in turn? " Clearly noble talk has gotten to her

"The sluagh desire simply to live free and unmolested. We do not seek harm towards the Varich, merely reprieve from persecution."

A brow "That is not what the Varich say but, perhaps if you could be made to sit down, a representive fo your kith and one of their house, a peace could be established"

She rolls her eyes. "Oh, I well know the Varich spin stories of our supposed malintent. And nay - what peace? They need merely stop their campaign to see our destruction. There is no negotiating our right to exist."

"Oh" the little girl says sipping her drink

"Pray, forgive. It is a distressing topic. Just... just remember, aye, that all kithain are entitled to Life, to Haven, to exist, even if they are different from you."

A nod at this "I'll remember, Madame Zara. Espcially if I ever get a hold of my own"

"Thank you, Miss Tiril."

A nod "This is really quite tastey, thank you for sharing"

"As said, tea is important. Now - how do you find Earth Runes so far? Have you met the Baroness?"

"I have not" She says "I hear she is a Fine Fiona"

"She is a good example of the house, aye."

"You consider her a friend"

"I do, actually."

"Then she must be a fine lady indeed, " A nod and she finishes her cup "May I have more please?"

"Aye, gladly. You are a very polite young lady." She pours another cup. "Did you try the biscuits?"

"I did not" She takes one "Should I dip?"

"That is up to your discretion."

Zara, however, dunks hers.

She dunks hers as well and tries

"mmm. This is quite pleasant. "

To be fair: Zara doesn't have teeth. But butter cookies are delightful either way.

"Tea is important." A small smile.

"it seems to be" A nod "So it is a good gift for a sluagh friend? Tea I mean?"

"Oh, aye!"
