"The accoustics aren't ideal" she realizes, "The books soften it but it's not terrible. " A look around

"But it is private. If I do badly again, no one will know" A nod. She sang 'fine' the other day, but a skald must do better than fine

So fine, for a skald, is badly

Clearing her throat, the Aesin then sings

"The seer is speaking with his gods He will see what the future will become In his vision all in the way will fall Before the mighty warriors" she claps her hands against her thighs to get a cadence, "The ritual of blood is a gift To the spirits of the sea They will help us reach The place of our glory!'

"Through the sea Through fire Through honorable death in fighting We will come to the sacred land" she begins to forget her worries

oh, much better, much truer! "Nothing stops us Nothing breaks us Our father awaits us In the golden halls of Valhalla!" A strong voice for one so young "Our women are shield maidens With the power of Freya They are fighting like the bravest Side by side with our men!"

She stresses the pride of the women, if there is one thing that annoys her about her house it is the hassle some women get for going in traditionally male roles

"We can cross the ocean Our ships are strong Thor has blessed us with the thunder Of the distant storm!' A clap of hands together as if miming thunder

"Shhhhhhhh."

"Our enemies are... "the shhh cuts through the slightest pause in the words and tempo like a breeze through forest demanding the trees attention "OH!" she jumps in surprise

"My apologies" She says looking about "Whoever I disturbed. I thought this room empty"

For a sidhe noble, a childling AESIN no less, she seems to have some basic manners

There - the child can spot the small dragon atop a bookshelf.

"Ah, I have brought song to a hall of lore, I know but among my culture song can be lore you see?" She explains

Tiril's eyes light up "A lindwyrm? No, too small," Curiously, she tries to see more.

Bronte flies down closer, landing on the back of one of the chairs.

"Oh how extraordinary, it is as if you were made of scrolls " a beaming smile "May I pet you, oh noble wyrm?"

“i imagine that yes is the only living thing.” She preens and spreads her wings.

"Bronte is a rather shameless creature." A whisper.

"Oh my" Tiril strokes along the wings gently then answers the whisper "She's magnificient I.." A startlement for a second time, but she recovers faster "Oh, this library is far more inhabited than I realized. I do not seem to be at my best here"

"She is a bookwyrm, a creature of words and lore as much as ink and paper."

"But!"

"Tis a library yet, Miss Tiril."

A blush then "I shall find another place to practice. It's just I performed so mundanely earlier for Sir Earl and Vince. I felt I should work to get my voice back in form"

The whisperer emerges from the shadows. "Mayhaps the gallery? The acoustics there are adequate, and it is oft a place for solitude."

"Oh, thank you" She says "Oh, to whom am I speaking, please?"

Zara places a hand on her chest. "I am the Librarian."

The little girl makes a face as any childling of any kith might make if thwarted of knowledge "well, yes, but do you have a use name? One that you could share? It seems rude to refer to you as librarian only"

"The Librarian."

"But aye, I am also known as the Madam Zara."

"Ah" she ponders "The prefix does make it sound more impressive" But then she says "Madame Zara? Zara is a lovely name. Very well , when I sing of you it shall be as Madame Zara THE librarian" A firm nod "And thank you. I am Tiril, Skald of Aesin, but I guess you already knew that. ' A pondering "It would appear I have intruded where I thought it deserted. This is poor guest work on my part. Is there some way I can make amends? I would offer a song but ... if you do not like them I am not sure?"

"It is not that I dislike them, but this is not the venue. The Library has rules." She crosses over to a side table containing an ivory chest. "Would you care for tea?"

"I don't know" the little girl says "I've never had tea before"

she is eleven, and never had tea? what savages raised this child?

"Well then! Perhaps some Russian Caravan..."

"Russian Caravan?"

"Nay... Rauðr. A good nordic red."

"Aye, that should do."

"Ooo" Proud of her culture , now she's curious

Zara sets the kettle as she fills the infuser with the tea.

"This seems very much like a ritual? Is it?" Curious

"Aye. Tis. If you meet other sluagh in the future, young elfling, understand this is a rite of both hospitality and respect. It is held in high esteem by my kith."
