(later) Earl appears in a tired an exhausted swirl of muck with a guest no less

The sidhe with him is 11 years of age roughly, and her clothes are just as a bit worse for wear

"This way, your ladyship" he says

And brings her to a small room "I think with the gaming contest over, this room is clear again"

"Gaming contest?" She inquires

"Long story, video games. It smelled like Axe Body spray and social despair" Earl says after checking the room "All good. Yours until we find a better one. It has a shower and I'll ask Vashti to get you some clothes"

"Eh?" A large pooka with big earphones on looks up from his lounged seat in the corner.

As he takes the headphones off, the minor veil fades as well and he is fully visible.

"Oh geez" Earl jumps

He's use to sluagh doing that sort of thing, but pooka are jarring "Vince? I'm sorry are you using this room?"

"Mayhaps another?" The 11 year old girl says

"Oh, dear, no. Are they gone?"

He peers at the door.

"My paws were made for pouring drinks and pondering curves, not for controllers and... video games. The only Call of Duty I heed is that within mine own heart." He notices the girl, and gives her a flourishing bow. "Pardon, my lady. I can vacate the premises!"

"That is most kind of you" She says "However, I am hardly one to banish one seeking haven in a hold that is not mine to begin with. "

"Well, you see, this is not precisely my room. Well, in a way, every room is my room, after all, does not mine own visage fly on the banner of EarthRunes? Practically run the place, such as it is."

"Vince is saying he already has a room" Earl points out "Also, he's a joker at times, but a gent all the time"

And Earl means it, having never seen Vince treat any lady of any age poorly

"Mayhaps a trade? I will relinquish unto thee these chambers, and when you are rested and restored, your story you shall share?"

At THIS her eyes light up, "Oh if only I had my instruments... but a trade it is, good vincent, we shall met formally then. Return in an hour if you like? or I can meet you elsewhere"

"I will return, forever and ever more, in this life and the next, ever to your side." He proclaims.

A sad look at something "Would those words from another, but I had to release hold on him. It is the fashion of this new world it seems. Thank you both, Sir Earl and vincent"

And Earl and Vincent find themselves out in the hallway, somehow shooed by the 11 year old, but then they were going anyway

"How were the balmy beaches?"

He asks of Earl.

A Long tired look "I got woke up at ...3 in the morning I think? Central time... from crazy cousin who forgets she's not my chief. To be aasked if I ever visited Rutgers in Jersey. I told I had. BIG mistake. Next thing I know, I'm flicker flashing over to pick up Dame Dagmar and Symon the Denier who have volunteered to help rescue attempts. I don't remember volunteering. SOme I still ended up popping and zapping folks right and left with the dross I was given. I don't think I've eaten breakfast yet and I'm kind of cranky about it. It was a mess...the folks stranded on their rooftops like shipwreck survivors. Now and then a dead corpse, though those were rarer thank goodness. Mostly we focused on saving Kithain...but kinan were next priority and few had the heart to refuse mortals entirely. The aesin was rescued by Dagmar and Symon in fact. Those two are a good team." He admits "Anyway, she had no place to go because the local noble took his bale out of the floodzone and retreated and she didn't make it in time. I also helped. For all my grumbling I'm not in the habit of ignoring a pooka granny "

Vince wraps his arms around Earl in a comforting hug. Almost as tall as a troll himself (a short one), he strokes Earl's hair softly as he makes a shushing sound.

"There there. There there. Let's get you some victuals and then you may rest your head upon my lap."

A heaven ward sigh, one that August himself also wears now and then for some reason. Perhaps they both need a chriopractor to work on those necks?

"The though's appreciated. In truth I SHOULD shower first but I'm starving. Care to join me for break fast.. or lunch or whatever it is?"

"I have an hour to spend before my young lady awaits. Come, I shall wine and dine you."

"Thank you" They sit in the dinning area

And the kitchen staff peeks out like prarie dogs

Vince raises his hands and claps. "Fair maidens of the spit and hearth, yon warrior requires rich and nourishing fare, if you would please!"

A chuckle at that "Right away " And off they go..

"I envy your likablity" Earl says

"Does that mean you like me too, o poet of paint?"

He says, fluttering his long lashes that are the envy of many a maid.

A spider drops down onto Earl's shoulder, riding along. Septa.

"In a very Iowan way" A smile then a nod to the spider "Hello, If you're talking to your sister please kindly get word to my heart that I am well and returned"

The boggans rush out and soon vanish again leaving this on the table in their wake

"Must be Brunch time" Earl observes

Obviously one plate is in front of each of them

He murmurs to one of te boggans, "And a tray of something light and nourishing for a young maiden?"

There is some tappity, but the sister seems content to hang out.

"Young maiden?" the server looks confused "What young maiden?"

"Why, I could not possibly speak her name, it does not deserve to run upon my vagrant's tongue..." He looks to Earl.

Earl winces "i'm a cad. Yes, Vince is right. We have an older childling of House Aesin, a sidhe.. what was her name again Terry? No , Tiril that's it. I forget her rank and..."

Vince sups daintily on avocado toast, eggs and cheese, and a green salad, and of course the good creamy cappuchino. He savors the meal with evidence and much acclaim to the chefs.

"We have a NOBLE guest?" the server who we shall all refer to now simply as Jamie "A child no less, and she's not been fed?"
