Adam practices holding up walls this Imbloc evening.

Meanwhile, August arrives in his most formal attire, to include his baronial circlet.

Zane comes over and joins Adam in guarding the wall

"Hey."

"Dude, you can go party. I mean, no need to miss a good time. Not on my account anyway."

"Dude, I get recharged no matter where I am in this hold. I'll be fine hanging with a friend."

"Yeah, but you could be having fun."

Vince slides by, his hair festooned with a riot of flowers. "My good lads, what what?" He asks jovially, and pulls a few blooms loose - a red rose tucked behind one of Adam's ears, and a sprig of hyacinth behind one of Zane's horns.

Zane laughs "Hey, Vince. Don't mind us, we're holding up the wall"

"A fine occupation, but a thirsty one." He offers drinks to them both, goblets of a fizzy punch with a floral scent.

"thanks, Vince" He takes one

Edible flowers float, and the glasses are filled with punch - Lemonade, grapefruit, sparkling water and rosé - only lightly alcoholic but delightfully sweet and freshing!

"This is good" Zane adds

The second goblet dangled temptingly towards Adam.

"Thanks, Vince. " he takes the drink.

"Try the dandy-lion punch." He grins happily as it's taken.

That gets a little grin, and he tastes. "That -is- good."

"Okay, Vince. I gotta ask, what sort of shampoo do you use for your mane? I mean, I know this is missouri but it's not THAT warm, how do you avoid winter frizzies?"

"It should be, why, I had to travel to distant isles to fetch water from the most pristine sparkling bubbly water springs..."

And he pats at his mane. "A lady never reveals her secrets, but I may divulge, Sampson's own beauty regime has some hints I have picked up for my own Mane and Tail."

"Huh..." Zane tries to decide if he's being pranked or not, looks at the mane again and says "Worth the risk"

"Adam, you look poised and polished." He brings out a handkerchief and dusts the lad's head for a moment.

"Thanks?" He doesn't know what to do about the dusting. "You always look great." He compliments.

"It's my rest schedule. One must nap at least eighteen to twenty hours a day, for proper beauty rest."

Zane says "Now I envy. Between my studies and school and patrol and stuff I barely breath"

"Oh, if you will excuse me a moment." His tail lashes, as he watches August trail by across the way. And he stalks...

"Yeah." Adam agrees. "Looking forward to the summer. I want a job."

And watches Vince go.

He twists past a pair of dancers...

Ducks for a moment behind a pillar - wait, it's Oswald. But still, a moment to hide - except his rump sticking out a bit, tail swishing.

Oswald blinks, perhaps sensingg a disturbance in the force? but no. No one there

Under a table, the cloth wiggles as he creeps beneath the hors d'ouerves....

An Asian Leopard Cat further back, waggles her butt... and readies to attack the lion after the lion attacks whoever

it's the circle of strife

August has taken a glass of juice and is quietly watching Coradel work the room.

And he POUNCES! Trajectory established, arms around the sidhe's slender midsection, twisting as they fall so that Vince hits the floor with a shoulder, they roll, and August is on top! And if his glass of juice happened to spray the Jester who was standing near... more's the pity...

Indeed, the glass goes flying. August, attacked, defends himself! At least until he realizes it's Vince.

And then a smaller Feline reaches forward and tags Vince's poofy tail with a delicate paw, then trots off as if she licked the Kaiser

He nuzzles August's mussed hair, purring. "I win!"

August rolls his eyes and stands, offers Vince a hand to do the same. "Vince, a little warning next time?"

Oswald sighs "Sorry, Baron. he got past me"

"Warning? W-warning?!" He tilts his head, "But that would defeat the purpose of the hunt!" Standing, and brushing off first August, and then himself.

"I would prefer not to be hunted at all." August points out.

"You... you do not wish me to seek your company?" His expression crumples into despair.

"That is not what I said at all."

His head hangs. "If I am not to hunt, I am not a lion. I shall seek out young Adam's stylist, that I maybe properly shorn."

August sighs. "Vince......"

"Fine, fine.... hunt away."

Adam has been watching the antics.

He gives August an embrace! A normal one this time. "My pride brother! I knew thou understood me!" And he prances back on his way, all smiles once more.
