A sigh.

"Veronica, what do you know about fae fosterage?"

Veronica eyes Vince, and her features seem to shift slightly, she's pretty, true, but now she seems to Vince to be even more appealing, at least to him.

"Vince, could I please have the vodka? Just a touch?" She asks

Offering up her cup

“My pleasure.” He says, no falsehood there, and adds just a proper tipple.

For a moment, the others MAY notice Veronica, a moment ago a sensible girl, now seems a bit more wide eyed, innocent, new to the world and in need of a man's (or woman's) guidenence and instruction

"thank you so much" she says sweetly, and sips it "mmm"

August sits up and forward slightly, attentive.

Then, whatever is going on passes, and she answers "Pardon, Baroness. I am sorry, I know I must learn the Escheat and other rules, and that if I stay here I am both under your command and I'm for you to look after or whoever you assign"

A bit of fascination for a moment.

Then a blink at Veronica speaks to her. A nod. "I think...if she is willing, that Miss Zara might be your best teacher. What do you think, August?"

He doesn't respond for a moment, then "Hm?"

"Ah. Yes. Zara..... yes."

Delores thinks of something then goes 'Oh dear"

"You've met Zara...does that appeal?" she asks Veronica.

Vince looks over, “Mm?” Pausing from his quiet admiration.

Then a curious look to Delores. "Trouble?"

Veronica seems, normal again, still lovely and normal as a Rusalka is, she took looks curious

"I was wondering what Sir Sergei might know or think of this. Slavic dreams and all" She says

"Yes...I was going to mention Sir Sergei, as well. But...I don't think they'd do well to teach her together, do you?"

"I imagine Miss Zara would protest if we tried " Delores nods

August blinks. "I think.... I think the issue would be Kith. Between them, at least but yes.... Zara might object."

"who is sir sergei?" A curious look from Veronica

“Mayhaps an intermediary? After all, a triad of Mentors seems to be the going fad...”

"If not directly, at least as a source of information?"

"Sir Sergei is our master of hunt, of House Varich."

At the word Varich, the cup in her hand threatens to fall

A hand deftly cups under it, cradling cup and hand both.

“A tragedy for good vodka.” He explains.

"Oh, thank you, Vince" She says

"The Sunlords are here?" She says her tone a mix of nervousness, interest, and.. deference

An interested look. "This is not a Varich hold," she says with a tone of reassurance. "But yes...the Varich are here. You remember them?"

“Sir Sergei for heritage A, Miss Zara for Heritage B, and might I suggest, perhaps one of our Boggan lovelies as an intermediary, for propriety and general fae knowledge without canting in either potentially biased direction? “ Vince suggests, with remarkable clarity.

"More.. like conflicting feelings.. worship of them, fleeing from them, hiding someone from them.. and turning to them.. only to feel lost"

then he immediately recents. “no, no, you mustn’t. They must be free to attend to my own needs and whims....” A fuss,

A bit of bemusement at Vince, then a nod to Veronica. "Then...I think maybe that might be too distracting a relationship for mentoring. There, Vince, your boggan friends are safe from additional mentorship duties." A wink.

"No no, I should meet Sir Sergei too." She says "I'm no coward"

"Do you know who was hidden?"

"More that one of them, willowy, wispy, pale.. cousins?" She shakes her head "I ..Zara will be a fine mentor but I do want to learn more of the Varich"

"There's no reason to rush, is there?" gently "Introductions can be made in time."

"Of course, you shall meet him. You shall meet all of the household."

This seems to make sense to Veronica "Sorry, I didn't mean to push .. I just.. it's so much I feel like i need to prove I can handle it" Sheepishly "am I really the only one of my kind?"

"That we know of." August tempers.

“You are one of a kind, certainly. But surely not the ONLY one.” He soothes.

"Then I maybe truly alone" A meloncholy look "Well, no, I suppose if I do not have kin I at least have kind hosts. Pardon. I didn't mean to make light of all you're doing for me"

Then she smiles at Vince.

"Not at all. It's our pleasure, as well as our duty. We're looking forward to finding out more about you as you learn about yourself."

“If only there was one who could ask the stars and the bones and the tea leaves. I shall order a dish of green beans with slivered almonds upon it, to help me think.”

Tapping at his chin thoughtfully.
