"No! Nah, Nab, just... I wish I could have served her." a wet sigh.

"Well, she's not dead. Maybe you'll see her again"

"She ghosted me, and she hasn't been, like, aroun' here. She doesn't wan me."

"S'ok. Just ... I wish."

"I don't think she ghosted you specifically.. she was reclusive to a lot of folks. It's just who she is"

"Nah." foggy "Was me but... s'ok. I mean.... if I talk to her for 5 minutes an' she ghosts.... s'ok. I might wish different but...."

Nab shakes her head but just coaxes him "Sleep. Snuggle. rest"

"Nah, I'm ok." He pauses a moment, and presses his lips to her.

SHe kisses him

"Mmmm..... better." He grins.

"I donwannabe sick all weekend....."

"Well, then take your soup, take your meds. And sleep a lot." She says "Listen to what Emma wants you to do and do it."

"Colds are a week... so maybe only Friday at school?"

"Now don't try to stretch it out"

"Bud i sick......"

"Yes you are.. and for once not just in the head" She kisses him and pushes him down "Now sleep"

Dumas puts his head up on Adam's arm

"Guys......"

And he finds himself... tiring out again.

Colds are like that

"Just.... a lil nap...."

And snuggled between his dog and his gal.. he drifts
