"Yeah.." he nods "I do"

"Be right back." He kisses Nab's cheek and dashes off.

And back. "Here." he hands them over.

Nab watches him go and return "Quick"

"I know when to take my time." Adam winks at her.

"Very.." Jack takes em "Okay, first thing.. no chug olug TRY to get drunk.. you just enjoy. Eventually, a buzz , then truly blitzed will occur. Okay?"

"Well, yeah. I mean, I want to enjoy it. Hell, forgettingHalloween is bad enough."

"Okay.. so what are we starting out with?" He asks

Adam scans the options behind Jack; clearly he's eager to try the BIG boy stuff. "Uh. You know. How about you pick? I mean, you're the expert and I'm kinda just starting."

"How about a couple of shot glasses, each with something different, and we learn what you like" He pulls out five shots.

"Yeah......" he watches, eager.

In one, a lager beer, clearly not meant for a shot glass but hey. It's not that mass commercial stuff. Then Vodka. Then Whiskey. Tequila , and lastly Rum

"Nab, you want something?"

"Now these are just SOME of the options..." he says "But some of the harder stuff. No shame in mixing with juice or the like .. but I'm giving it to you raw"

He nods. "A... baseline."

"Oh no, I'm the designated Double D cup" Nab says

Adam laughs. "And I love you for it!"

"Oops, sorry, Nab." He genuinely looks contrite.

"Sure you aren't tipsy already?" Jack jokes

Nabuni beams "it's okay"

Adam, still looking regretful, takes her hand and squeezes it, then turns to Jack. "So which first?"

"That's up to you. Drink one, see if you like it. But put it back where you got it"

"I've had beer before.... wait, I saw dad get a flight of beer once, and he said drink the light stuff first 'cause the heavy stuff could mask the light stuff's flavor if you go the other way. So.... beer first."

He points to the beer "All yours and waiting"

The little shot glass of lager awaits

He grins and samples.

How one feels about beer is how one feels about beer, but this is GOOD Lager for those that like lager

He does! "It's good! Cold. There's kind of an edge; some beer is sweet but this really isn't."

"That's a lager beer. Give it a moment, then try something else. you want a glass of water between different drinks to help cleanse the palate? not that this always works."

"Is that what they do? Grand Dame Bondraste and I just drank the wine.....

"Wine works too" A nod "Though I have to admit, your Fiona friends are the vinophiles "

"She said it was.... oenophile?"

"Anyway, yeah, if I should have water I'll take one."

He'll put one out between, a full sized water glass "Just one sip , then a shot of whatever is next"

"Ok!" He takes a short drink and then picks up to sniff each glass. "Whew! Some of these are strong just from the smell!"

"Oh yeah.." Jack nods

"I guess.... this one? Whiskey?"

"Try it and find out" A smile

He sips it carefully.

"WHEW....." he lowers the glass "... fire water is damn right!"

"It is not subtle" He agrees "Some say it's an acquired taste"

"Well that's what I'm here for!" Adam tastes it again. "So, a cocktail is when you mix them together with juice or soda or something?"

"Right.. and there are names... depending on what you mix"

"Right." He takes a breath and sips some more.

The shot glass is small so the whiskey will go fast even with sips

"After the fire part there's.... it's hard to describe. Am I wrong to say nuts?"

"Youre not nuts to say nuts" he says

"What cocktails can you make with it?"

He finishes and takes a drink of water.

Then takes the clear one; vodka.
