Adam wakes up, and this time, he gets to do something!

There's a knock on his door.

"Room service" A voice he does not recognize

He glances around for Nab as, curious, he opens the door.

It's a maid, not that unusual, sometimes they take the sheets away and the like. But GAH!

Her face looks like a shaved primate's ass with teeth, He's seen redcaps before and they are not usually pretty, but this . being is.. hideous!

"Jesus!!" He yelps and swings the door shut again.

"No. Flora. I'm the maid..well, a maid. I'd like to clean your room early if it's okay? or at least get your laundry to hand to Charity please" the voice is a bit gruff but polite

Adam pauses, and carefully opens the door. He focuses, squinting at her.

(Trying to a see past the illusion of her appearance.)

She squints back. the affect is like an old person's wrinkled anus puckering. If said anus had eyes on a cheek..rathere runny watery eyes, that were small and scary

"What... do you have some kind of spell on you?"

"Yes. I was cursed by an old gypsy woman that the questions askeed of me would forever be of the stupid kind" She says and speaks slower. "Me. Maid. Your Room. MESSY. Me Make Clean! Good?"

"Yeah. But......"

"Fine, Then out of my way please if you're ready now for it," FLora says

"I, uh, I'll clean it. Thanks. Are you a chimera or something?"

"I'm a redcap" She glares with a look that would send most scurrying "Fine. Can I have your linens?"

"Y.... yeah. Hang on." he stips the bed quickly and hands them over. It might be he's staring.

She takes them "THANK you. And by the way? I know I'm ugly, but way I see it, I'm on the giving end so how you handle that is your fucking problem. Have a nice day" And she stomps off, dirty sheets and bedding in hand

"Not just his" Nab says once she's out of ear shot. She is in a corner hiding behind a lamp "It's like Aphrodite does not like her"

Adam turns, wide-eyed. "It's not just me then?"

"Adam, I am born of shallow dreams, raw lust, mere desire, so I don't feel bad sometimes being a bit simple- that is the UGLIEST Woman I've ever seen in my damn life. She must be half River hag"

"Whew!" he seems relieved.

"And hey, you're not simple." he grins.

"Not..so much anymore" She admits and moving him

Moving to him, she lands on his shoulder

He smile and touches her tiny cheek gently with a fingertip; his version of a kiss when she's small.

She actually, blushes.

"I'm glad you're here, Nab. And mine."

"You seem in good spirits today... at least nice ones" A wink

"Yeah, sure. I mean..... she was a hell of a shock but.... was she really a redcap?"

"Oh definitely.... " A nod "She just makes Dirk look pretty by comparison"

"Whew. That can't be easy."

A laugh "Well, be nice and..try not to stare or .. or scream if you see her again"

"Yeah." he looks a little guilty..

"Well, if you feel bad apologize to her . Tell her you aren't normally rude and welcome her to Earth Runes"

Now he looks uncomfortable AND guilty.

"Yeah. Ishould."

"It's okay. She'll be around" Nabuni assures him.. fluttering to his side and giving his cheeek a stroke with a full sized hand "At least, I think she will be. Go out, do things"

"Icould stay in, do you." he grins.

"You just got the sheets out" Reminder with a grin "Come on. Go"

"Aw, shoot." he realizes there's no choice. "Yeah. Ok. You good?"

"Yep. I'm going to play Tennis"

"Yeah?" he seems pleased by this "With who?"

"Lady Leonora" She says and suddenly is dressed in a skimpy Tennis outfit "Have fun with your lessons"

Adam sighs. "Enjoy." and off he goes.

And so Adam goes for lessons from... Sir Bachdion "Hello, Adam. Ready to go?"

"Yes, Sir. Where are we going?"

"to talk, and watch a tennis match"

"Oh. Ok." he generally -is- an agreeable boy. They head out.
