"Hey, you never know." he rejoins "Might get a little further than just flirting. If you and the guy both want, of course."

"Your story seems rushed, what happened to the slow build?" A grin though

"You don't like stories that start with a big bang?" He grins too.

"SOunds abrupt, and so much less satisfying" her eyes sparkle

"Don't knock it til you try it." Teasing.

"Who says I haven't heard that short story before? Just from someone else?" Counterpoint

"Maybe it's not the story but the story teller?"

"Interesting, so you're saying you could tell it better?" Hand on hip, intrigued eyes

"I'm saying I'd like a shot." Confidently.

"I'll think about it, but now," She says "That cleaning and feeding animals, other than you, of course"

"Ok." With a spark in his eyes "You know you can clean and feed me anytime. "

"First you need domesticating" A smirk "Maybe even house breaking"

"Pfft." He scoffs. "I clean up ok."

"There you go again, wanting the cleaning" She tuts and tends to the dogs

"Hey, a warm tub, bubbles, a loofa...." he goes up to take care of the birds.

"You're a loofa" She calls out but they part

"Ha!" He works methodically, taking care to do a good job.

And when the chores are done.....

"Alanza?"

He finds a note Hey. Got the urge to go somehwere. Be back later , Az

He rolls his eyes, but gets the new dog. "C'mon. We'll get some pictures of you and see if we can find your family."

The New Dog looks up and follows. He seems to waver between on guard, and eager to go.

Adam grabs a leash and collar, just in case.

Dame Claire Ap Ailil walks by

Adam pauses to watch.....

"You need something, Adam?" A brow

"Uh.... no, Dame. I hope your morning is going well?" He stumbles.

The pale haired Ailil frowns "Satisfactory. A bit quiet, but then that never lasts"

"Are you going on patrol?"

"About to." she says "Why, is there an area you've heard of havign trouble?"

"Uh, no. But I found this dog and.... if you see any posters or anything, can you let me know? Want to find his family."

She looks down and softens a bit "Poor guy. " then she nods "I'll keep an eye out. Have you taken him to a vet to see if he's chipped?"

"No, Dame, it just happened last night. That's a good idea, thought. Thank you."

"You're welcome." A nod "Magnus tells me you're busting your hump trying to learn Fiona matters"

"Yes, Ma'am."

"Are you keeping up on your fighting?"

"Yes, Dame. That's part of the Fiona training. Fiona are warriors."

Amusement in her eyes "Truth to tell, back in the day they were mostly archers if you hear the Gwydions, but then, nothing like a little competition to get them going. Just remember, every House has it's warriors. Don't underestimate those that aren't known for them. Temerity is a Liam, technically, and a Dynamo."

"Yes, Dame." Just the slightest bit wistful.

She looks at him, "You look like a redcap when someone takes the third steak away"

"I meant no insult, Dame." And he -sounds- respectful.

"If you did, you'd get more than practice" she says "No. I was just curious why"

"You... are a commanding presence, Dame."

"Oh. that. " She says "Yes. Yes i am. " Matter of fact "No doubt if you become a true sidhe as some say you might, then you'll have folks gawking at you. It does have downsides"

"Oh."

"But.... do you like it? Being Sidhe?"

She raises a brow "I'm sidhe. I am the daughter heir of the Tuatha Danaan by fate and blood. Where I walk, glory trails. Where I stand, the axis of the world settles. The burden is heavy, the future grim, and yet, I am sidhe. Like it? It's a challenge, a burden, a duty and a calling. Magical cookies aside, I can't imagine settling for anything less."
