Adam touches the Charger's driving wheel, fingers running along it anew

.... and he dutifully continues cleaning it.

"Adam, I mean for you to drive it. YOu've wiped it clean. I figured you wanted another go" Bachdion says

"I do, Sir." He says "I just........"

The satyr laughs and claps him on the back "Adam, the dog has a sitter for now. The car is clean enough. And I promised you danger."

"Yeah??" Excited interest, then a moment. "Who's watching the dog?"

"Helpful troll"

"Yes Sir, but.... who?"

"Fine. Your dad"

"Aw damn....."

"He's just being nice. Why is this a bad thing?"

"It's.... I mean, now I feel like I owe him. Nevermind, Sir."

"He's your father, repay him by saying thanks and be done with it"

"Yes, Sir." Dutifully.

"So... uh, where to? I mean, if you want....."

"To the apartment, brave lion to be" He says looking eager

"Yes, Sir......" and off they go!

ZOOM ZOOOM ...and no animals in the way this time

Oh, so sweet a ride!!

But, to the apartment....

and they find a spot nearby. "Okay, Adam. How do you want to approach this? You're a teenager boy, likely to be dismissed"

Adam THINKS.

"Maybe.... if I didn't look like that?"

"Or, if you use it to your advantage?" He points out "There are many ways to be a hero. Strength, handy. Skill. Handier. Guile? Never to be underestimated"

"You mean, like.... lying?"

"I prefer 'getting into character'" A smile

"Just pick the character carefully if you go that path"

"Oh, no.... no, Sir, what's best?"

"I mean, what should I do?"

"Sounds like that's up for you to decide" A tap of a hoof "Good luck"

"But Sir..... I don't know the best way to do this...."

"Adam, what would you have tried if I wasn't here?"

"Sir, if you weren't here I wouldn't be here?"

"Nonsense. You can drive a car. I can loan keys"

"If you're sure, Sir.... I think those asshole evictors need dealing with. Uh. If the people are ok?"

"Well.. if they are is a question" Bachdion considers "But sometimes, second guessing yourself takes you out of the game before it even starts. Keep an open mind, try to do what's right, see things from more than one view, and if need be, be brave "

"If they are.... then... I want to stop those asshold evictors." Firmly. "Which way?"

"The apartment is yonder before you" he gestures to the building. It's not a bad looking apartment, nothing special per se

Adam hops out. "Back soon!" And in he goes.

He finds there is a buzzer system on the apartment to be let in... officially, but there's a side door that looks neglected he can try instead if he wants

Well..... a side door? Let's try that....

Looks like security is not tight. It's as if this building used to be better but now is neglected a touch. A press, a click, and he's into a hallway
