A deep breath as she thinks. "She loves her ship. And heroics -- she tells tales of rushing off to rescue those in need, and her eyes light up. And..." Her eyes narrow as she chases down clues. "...she does seem to glow when she receives sincere approval. Have you noticed that?"

"Yes, not unusual in wilders. You yourself , while no peacock, do shine when stroked properly" A smile

That gets him a smile. "Well, who wouldn't, when I know such skilled strokers?" Then a sigh and she shakes her head. "So beyond what is typical for wilders, I'm not sure I see a key here."

"Maybe you do...perhaps it as as simple as telling her she has a right to be happy. Perhaps inform her that not only is her hiding her light for the sake of others not helping others, but rather if they knew it would distress them. My 'parent teacher conference' with the Kings was interesting. They have their doubts and concerns, but I can tell you this much. Those two want nothing more than their daughter to be a good person who is HAPPY. Siv's betrayal to her own joy is also a betrayal to you as her teacher, and they as parents. Perhaps there's a way to tell her , elegantly, that greatness is there, joy is there....now shit or get off the pot?"

"Do you think that's it? Do you think that's really all there is to it?" A sigh. "I just don't she how she doesn't know that already." She shakes her head. "Well...fine...I can try...but if it doesn't work, it's entirely possible that I'll be back for a strong drink."

"I'll get a brandy" He says

A rueful laugh. "Well, I may be back for the drink, either way. All right... thank you, Teacher Mine." A deep curtsy, of the cleavage-enhancing variety.

And gentleman's glance, and bow

She stands, gives him a promising wink, and turns to go.

...in search of Siv.

And Siv is in search of her...

SO they almost collide

Coradel dodges gracefully out of the troll's path. "Captain. How fortunate. I was just about to search for you."

"Aye, and I you." She says "I tracked down Jonas."

"Did you!" A pleased look. "And?" She walk with the Captain, a route that will take them towards the sparring ring.

They move along towards it "Well, he tried to break things off after having betrayed me. I pointed out that neither of us had betrayed a damn thing... betrayal is a willful thing in my book, then we got into this STUPID argument over semantics."

"Wait, he wished to break off the relationship because he had betrayed you? Not the other way around?"

"It's a troll thing," She says in an exasperated tone. Apparently trollishness can even sometimes annoy other trolls

Coradel laughs. "Well, at least he didn't try to shove all the burden off on you. And I completely agree -- betrayal is an intentional act. So...did you win the argument?"

She shakes her head, not negatively, but like a beast tossing a mane,"is it winning when a man tries to break up with you only to end up in bed with you again, and you well sated while he bumps his head against a headboard ?"

"Hmm..." Coradel considers this judiciously. "I'm willing to consider that a victory, yes." And she smiles broadly. "Well done. How do you feel?"

"Damn good actually" She says "And.. angry.. not at him neither. I shouldn't have let it get this far."

"Yes. Avoidance is a time-waster. If there's a problem, deal with it, and have done, and move on." A glance into the sparring salle as they pass the door. "Are you in the mood for a bit of a fight, with weapons this time?"

"Oh hell yes. I want to thrash you for letting me sit on this a whole week. What, you were busy on Tuesday?" Then a grin "Joke"

"Hah! Oh, I see how it is now...your lover did not misplace blame, so now it's your job! Come on." And she enters the ring and chooses a blade.

She grabs one of her own liking, since personal weapons are not being used she leaves Quill to the side. "Ready when you are, Mentor mine"

A surprised blink and a grin. "Then we begin!" And she does, but not too hurriedly. In fact, it seems she's starting at a rather conversational pace. "Aside from betrayal and make-up sex, all is well?"

"I told mother about Norway in a letter, used a few phrases, and she sent me a whole letter back ALL In Norweigan. I don't understand a third of the bloody thing" She admits "Not sure what Pandora's box I unlocked"

"Oh?" A strike at her left side. "Does she often use that language?"

"Hardly ever," She says parrying and moving for an attempted reposte.

A parry-riposte in an easy rhythm. "Really? I suppose she was inspired, then, to write that much."

Siv doesn't let it throw her off, rather she smiles, "So maybe she needed to write in it then. It made her happy." Testing thrust

"Well," she sidesteps the thrust and gets inside Siv's reach, aiming a counter thrust at her gut. "I suppose that depends on what she says. If it's full of curses and complaints, perhaps not. But I think it's likely."

And the troll twists side ways and sucks in her gut all with such grace as to show her gymnist training, but it was close. "Whew" And tries to tap the sidhe on the way of drawing her blade back in. "Ha. My mother doesn't curse per se. She has this brow thing. Very big on judgment by brow my fam. " The girl is improving, she might be getting closer to being a match for Coradel herself in melee...

but closer does not mean there yet.

A three-step turn out of reach, ending with the blade positioned for a parry. "Does that bother you? The judgement?"

"It used to... " A lunge , some aggression in that lunge! As Siv grows stoic, "But I realize she does it for what she sees as my own good. "

Her face stops it's smile, stoic. Her lunge shows... something else

A parry-retreat, gaining distance, slicing a blow at her arm. "Your own good?"

"mmm" She gets nicked, and oddly she takes that in stride "My parents once thought I would fade into banality.. my fault partially I ...hid at a bad time. Lead to misunderstanding. But it settled." The more controled she tries to get, the more it seems to hinder her moves. Where is the dancer? The playful swashbuckler?

"Did it?" Coradel gives a bit of a flourish with her blade, utterly unnecessary. "So she knows what's best for you?"

"They think they do," Siv says, yes, face more impassive, moves technically good, but losing the flair, "I try to oblige them. Don't want to break their heart like-" Her next thrust wavers off as she stops whatever she was going to say.

"Like...?" A strike, and then another, a third, quick-quick-quick.

She blocks parries with surprising accuracy, defense... yes, holding up "Talking nonsense is all. Pay it no mind. They're quite proud of Jessica"

"Ah. The sister." She steps back presenting her blade in defense...though with an opening if Siv chooses to take it. "So your mother would approve of angry make-up sex. Good."

Siv takes it, "Not likely... but not like I'll tell her of it" Touch of anger? no..something else? Mix of things?

"Oh." A parry, turn, counter-strike. "So she doesn't always know what's best for you."

A hit on Siv again, and the woman's LEG boots the Sidhe in the mid section and knocks her back, her eyes a bit dark , then she realizes that move was hardly proper dueling, "Baroness, are ye okay? I don't know why I lost my temper there"

"OOF!" She wasn't expecting that, and doubles over a bit as she gets her footing...but then she looks up with a challenging smile. "Ohhh, is that losing your temper? Well, come on then!" An invitation, her blade ready. "Try it again."

Siv looks at her like she's crazy, "Well, as you like. The Safe Word is Uncle" She tries to rally behind her humor, and it helps. Her next flourish is far more of the dancer
