Coradel's never been a college student before, and doesn't have any meaningful memory of having been a high school student, and even if she did, this current situation among the mortals is still unprecedented. However, it does mean more time to spend at EarthRunes rather than at the college campus.

Siv has been kind of sheepish about things for a week, oh she studies hard, but she looks about as if expecting a ninja to attack.

And Coradel has had more time to notice this. "Captain Waveborn," she says as she approaches the troll in a corridor, nodding a greeting.

"Baroness" She bows. Clearly it's not Coradel she's been dodging.

A curious look. "You...bear the marks of somebody who knows that she's being hunted. Or who thinks she might be."

A light purple, "Carnival has had some interesting fall out, your ladyship"

A very pleased expression. Apparently, she has very much enjoyed her own Carnival fall out. "Indeed? Come and tell me of it as we walk. I was just about to tour the gardens for a bit."

"We return to the scene of the crime" She does however walk with the Baroness

A laugh. "I rather enjoyed my petaled experience, though it was brief. Hmm...I'm not sure I saw you in the garden, though I have been meaning to compliment you on your costume earlier in the evening. You, my dear, were stunning!"

"I was sort of hoping that by wearing nothing few would recognize me but I just can't help sea themes. Body Paint and pearl costume kind of a tell huh?" She coughs "Aye. I also was turned into a flower actually. I thought..." She looks about the garden "Well, let's just say it was wonderfully hectic"

"There is also the question of your distinctive height." Then a pleased sigh as she regards the gardens that are beginning to show signs of more seasonal flora. "It was. I hope you enjoyed yourself thoroughly."

"yes.." a cough that has nothing to do with any matter of health and a blush "But I enjoyed meself with the wrong man"

A blink. "Oh? What made him 'wrong'?"

"I thought it was jonas..and while he and I changed back, I .. uh.. continued pollenating with the wrong person"

Oh my, that purple blush goes down despite the distance way below the face

"Ahh." Coradel nods understanding. "Well, with a person who was not who you thought, at any rate. 'Wrong' remains debatable if you were both enjoying yourselves. May I ask whose vines you got tangled with?" Curious, not scandalized.

"Well uhm.. honestly I think I made the first move on him and he thought I was someone else too... in the floral frenzy... even once we changed back it was just easy to lose track.. as for who I met on vine.." A blush

"It was something of a glorious jumble, wasn't it?"

"Well, uhm.. he was this dark haired satyr... not much older than I am.. I don't think he's a regular member of the staff..." Another blush "He apologized even though he thought I was his date and I thought he was mine so... big mix up? Vernon?"

"Oh! Vern! Oh, I like him. He's good, hm? Well, satyrs do tend to be wonderfully skilled. Hmmm...I wonder what Bachdion got up to during all that...." she trails off.

"Bachdion was hanging out with Leo and Stevi depending on what time at night, and Vernon is.. let's just say he's good... but also seems to be.. ah.. very oral?" Then a bite of her lip "How do I explain this to Jonas? He didn't stick around after the party. How do I say ' sorry, darling, I sat on the wrong man's tongue'? "

"Oh, you haven't spoken with him yet!" A tone of revelation. "Captain, it's been a week. And he hasn't tried to contact you, either?"

"No..." A swallow "I mean...I sent him a text... and he sent me a text.. but I didn't exactly...TALK to him about that?"

She tilts her head. "And who was he with? During all the jumble, I mean?"

"I..." she stopped "well, he was supposed to be with me but he didn't hang arou-" realization "You think I wasn't the only one who ended up with a different partner?"

Coradel laughs. "That couldn't possibly have escaped your consideration until now! Captain, I doubt there was anybody near this garden who wasn't experimenting with which bits felt best when rubbed against other bits. It was a delicious evening!"

"If he was there, and he wasn't with you, I'm fairly certain he ended up with somebody else, yes."

Then a more serious look. "Oh...you two aren't oathed, are you?"

"no no... Not really," She says with a BRIGHT blush "I like him... probably why I fight with him so much. More than like I think... I worry about him when he's in danger. I light up when he fusses over me. I kind of like riling him and tweaking him you know? I...feel safe around him. Is it love? It maybe turning into that... but its slow going. " A pause "Who do you think he was with?" Curious frown then a blink "Oh dear. I'm a hypocrite"

A bit of a surprised look at something Siv says, and a thoughtful pause. "How often does Jonas visit you here, Captain?" she asks, seemingly irrelevantly.

"He takes his duties seriously. ANne Marie, she's a boggan social worker who has proven incredibly helpful to the community back home? She uses him for missions and tasks , and when he's not on that he's often patroling for the lodge or childling watching. So..." A breath "Once every two weeks ?"

"Sometimes once a week"

"I see." She considers for a moment. "So why haven't you spoken with him about this?"

"Because it might hurt him terribly or so I thought?" She says chagrined "I'm Failing at Fiona hood on this one aren't I?" Wince

"Well, I can't say this is your most impressive performance. You seem afraid to speak with somebody for fear of facing the confrontation, and that somebody is one whom you like in part because he makes you 'feel safe.' " A dubious look.

She stops and stands straight, not with outrage at the baroness, but at herself "I'm being a ruddy coward! You're right. I've always gone to him and he to me when we needed to talk, and then the first real risk to what we have, I treat it like it's too fragile to survive. I'm even getting a bit insecure that whoever he was with was better in the sack...or gardenbed, then I am. That's not just wimpy for a Fiona, it's pretty sad for any lass who ought to know her own worth, and really trust his fellow to know it too"

Coradel nods. "Now, it might be that you're feeling the twinge of actual love and its risks, but even so, I don't think that what you've done does anything to endanger his safety, so there's really no excuse about being afraid on his behalf."

"More about his feelings and my feelings getting hurt, but, well, that's still... for all I know, he's made the same mistake I have and assumed the other didn't have another partner.... and oh that idiot is probably feeling guilty. And if it happened like it did for me, a .. ah, pleasant mix up, then.. oh I need to find out who he slept with. See if she can tell me how he reacted"

"No. That's stalling. You need to talk with him. I honestly don't understand why you've waited this long."

"Well, partially duties. I'm dueling every day, I have classes in calligraphy, dance, and now Norweigan. You have me doing horse back riding as well, which I do enjoy well enough but it can take time.. and well, You and Sir Bachdion keep me pretty busy, and on the other side, Jonas is patroling for the lodge and helping the community at Bergen cosnstantly. It.. it's hard to find the time" She protests a little "I know should have, but .. . there never seems to be a perfect moment"

"So? Let it be a less-than-perfect moment. Does Captain Waveborn need a victory to be guaranteed before she'll dare join in battle?"

"Hardly," SHe says "I've faced 'snowball in hell' situations before" For a moment a memory of her mother 'sparing' with her to teach her better manners returns to minnd, sure, she MIGHT have gotten lucky enough to beat her mother in a fair fight, but it would probably require lightning to strike her mother randomly just then.. TWICE. "Permission to hunt him down where ever he is and settle this? I Maybe late for classes."

"Consider it a lesson. Go. And I expect a full report upon your return."

"Yes, Baroness," She breaks into a run, and calls out "Thank youuu"

Delores speaks up, "If you don't mind me saying, you're turning into a dedicated firm but fair mentor"

Coradel looks over. "I didn't see you there." Then a sigh as she watches the departing troll. "I just have little patience for simpering. If there's an argument to be had, hurry up and have it!"

"Simper aside, how do you think she's doing?" Delores offers a drink from a tray. Not really commenting on her kith's ability to blend in on duty

Coradel takes the drink and sips before answering. "I can't quite decide. Sometimes she'll jump into the teeth of a fight, and I'll think, now there's a Fiona! But in matters of love...." Another sip, and she shakes her head. "She has these complicated ideas about love and sex and affection. I suppose it's trollish. If it weren't for that, I'd be ready to take her as a house sister immediately. But when it comes to love, she worries so often, and needs to be reminded to be fearless."

A tap at the doorway.
