Siv is a bit sheepish later, "I didn't realize how I was missing so much about horses. I mean, I learned to ride them, but they've actually got a pretty complex body language."

"Ears and tail are most important." Sagely.

"I'm getting that. I guess I've gotten too used to cats and dogs so I can get the signals mixed. Lots of tail movement on a horse is NOT like the wag of a dog"

Of course, Dagmar knows this, but Siv seems to be reminding herself more than anything. The sailor girl realizes she missed some cues in the past.

"You see how he danced in place? What you think that means?"

"Excited? I dance in place when I'm excited.. a little"

"Right!"

"He wants to run, he's ready to go."

Siv chuckles, "Okay, sympathy there. I know what's that's like."

"Probably why you get along."

"I hadn't thought of that. I guess sometimes horses and rider should have some incompatibilities." A pause "Kind of like how Stormwake LOVES knocking people off in jousts....mom loves it too, but HE gets to show it."

"And Stormwake is very picky about riders."

"I KNOW, he's such a snob! He's like if Mjolnir were a horse 'If the rider be worthy'" Roll eyes

"Heh. Exactly."

But then - Dagmar is, it seems, deemed worthy.

Indeed. "Star and you, mmm you ride great together, seen that. But not sure how alike you are. Well, you both think She's gorgeous, there's that." A grin

"She IS gorgeous."

"She is. And I think you've gone and made her a nut for flying"

"But it's fun!"

"Probably why she's a nut for it, and I can't blame you for being one too. Probably makes you feel like a Valkeryie!"

"Right?"

"Still not as cool as a flyinng ship mind you" Light tease

"Arguable."

"So, we have to get your worthy of Stormwake"

"Island of Horses, right?"

"Island of horses" She nods "I agreed"

"So, we'll ride at home. Obviously, Star and Stormy are going with us."

"Obviously"

a smile at her, "I think that stable hand liked you"

"Huh?"

"Pinky, if that really was her name. She gave you a lot of curious glances. "

"Well, she was worried about the horses.."

"I think she liked you" She says

"Well, I'm glad she thought I was trustworthy..."

Siv smiles at something, but lets it go, "So what would you like to see next?"

"Oh, I dunno..."

"Well, they got an art gallery, a library, a sparing area.. you saw the garden but we can go back to it. Oh! You'd probably love the kennels or Ayries. Colton used to help out there"

"Kennels? Yes!"

"okay. Sir Sergei is a Varich, very serious and ...well... no nonsense so... don't be offended if he seems dubious about letting us see the dogs. He'll say they aren't pets "

And they head towards the kennels where she sees a half dozen fae hounds and some chimerical dogs. Most look to be of hunting breeds which is different from oh say working breed dogs like Oak and Edelweiss.

"Varich are okay." Agreeably.

"Do they do horse and hound hunts?"

"Well, I didn't quite ask but I assume.." She says

"mm he must be up with the hawks. Come on" She fusses and looks about "None of them are injured, so let's see" She motions for some of the dogs to come out

"Mmm... I don't like it if the fox gets hurt."

A black coated Labrador retriever approaches first, tail wagging right away where other dogs are at first cautious/curious. She does a ' bow' of sorts to greet the girls

Her coat shows its fae heritage in being like a raven's feather in sunlight, with purple highlights.

"Hello!"

Labs are friendly, so Dag is friendly - head-rub-ear-rumple-shoulder-scritch!

"Oh she'd make a terrible guard dog," Siv observes as the lab leands into the attention shamelessly.
