"Possibly. Out of politeness I don't scry her . She's good at evading notice. Now, what did this will worker do to you?"

"I am not sure. I lost time. I was in class, and..." He searches his memory. "There was a sub."

"Let's help you remember, shall we?" He perpeares a bowl of odd herbs, hot water, it soon starts bubbling. Breath this in. when you're ready, slow easy breaths."

August nods, and does so.

The memories come clearer, and smoother, oh he remembers it all...

The dimunative Man seemed utterly alarmed that August was a fae, almost scared of him. He had apologized and said best he forget and hit the whammy...

he also bespelled the two to answer a few questions, and was testing the mortals for their potential to 'awaken' whatever that means. As the memories coalesce ,it is clear he wanted to test to take them as apprentices. He wanted to see if they would wish to become mages.

The Seer shares the fumes, and the memory "Interesting!"

August sits back frowning.

"The fact he was scared of you is a good sign." A nod

"The Escheat demands Right of Ignorance."

"You didn't violate the right of ignorance, my lord." He says "And some wizard have known about us for centuries."

"If it helps, think of him not so much as a human, but as a human who ascended to prodigal hood?"

"I should do some re.... reading, I think."

"Baron," he says "If I may? "

The seer says firmly "You are my superior, and trueheart of my liege. If you wish, I will join you and help confront this mage. I am, in truth, in awe. Anyone lse would not have shaken off that spell like you did. Your will is awe inspiring."

He actually blushes. "Thank you. It is not so strong as you think, though."

"Yes, yes it is. I know how strong that spell was, it was on par with our greatest chicaneriesl. I should not ,would not have faded on anyone else as quickly as it did you, not for years even for most. I would have not resisted. "

"I am simply not sure confrontation is the wisest course."

"Then I yield to your choice, Lord, and support you whatever you decided"

"Thank you. Hm." He frowns and rises. "I should make this known to the Baroness. Excuse me."

And he bows

August bows back and departs.

Siv guides Dagmar through the trods to the garden, "Come on, I'll show you their stables"

"Yeah? Bet they ain't got anything on Star and Stormy..."

"You know it's okay for others besides your loved ones to be better at something?" A smile

"Nah."

Siv laughs "Okay." SHe looks over, "Oh, there's Rollo. He's a thane, and a damn powerful fighter, but a bit cranky." She gestures to the most muscled boggan Dagmar has ever seen.

She sizes him up. An upnod. "Hey."

Rollo looks em over "Normally I'd ask your business, but I'm guessing Siv's playing tour guide"

"This is Dame Dagmar ap Gwydion" Siv says "My lodge mate, cousin, and friend."

"We're going to see the horses."

"Sure, Baroness isn't riding today so you should get a look at them all. But careful around Samson, that's Her horse" He says

"Well, sure."

Rollo grunts and nods, apparently they're clear then.

Siv says 'A pleasure as ever, Rollo" She smiels and moves on. The two get some distance when Siv says "See what I mean by a bit cranky?"

"He seems okay."

"Oh he's not bad," She says as they turn from the gardens and then head around the main hold to see the stables!

There's a flying figure overhead, but her mount is no horse! A griffin, and a mechanical one at that! Steam hissing from it's beak

"Hunh, wouldja look at that"

"Ooh yeah , that's Dame Honoria"

"She's the one what quested with Colton last year or so. Came back with a mechanical griffin she made herself"

As they approach the stables, well, interesting as a mechanical griffin might be, the horses are probably draw her eyes. That and ...is that a tauntaun?

"Oh, wow..."

"Oh yeah, Oswald is a Star Wars nut. I asked too. APparently there was more than one"

The stables here are top notch, very fancy, wonderful!
