To be fair, navigating a car with wings is an affair.

The Saty hunches to help make room

"Maybe Camillus in front with me and you get the whole backseat?"

"Right sure" He'll move wherever

Shuffling and settling

"Ok....." and off they go! It's about 30 minutes with light traffic, in a cul-de-sac. Split-level ranch, bigger than August and Coradel need but.....

"You doing ok, Camillus?"

"Yeah. I'm fine. I think." They pull up to the house. "Let's see if mom is here. She should be but she works hard."

A well manicured lawn awaits

"Sure." And out they get.

He knocks on the door 'Mom?"

Sparrow follows, dawdling a bit as she looks around.

August points out which house his theirs; the aforementioned split level.

The door opens. The woman is attractive. Either she looks young for her age, or she had her son in her teens (Albeit it late teens). She looks to be a very attractive 36 38 tops. "Clifford, there you are. I got your text but it was odd your friend came by this time of year. I thought this was busy..oh, who are your friends?"

Sparrow kenns the mom.

Sparrow sees...oh my. We got another life one here! Under the skin of this woman, somehow not free yet, is a satyress.

August blinks at her. "Ah."

A gentle elbow for Aug.

"Oh this is August and Sparrow..." He winces , maybe he shouldn't have said sparrow "They're ..well, August is a neighbor"

August seems jolted even by the gentle elbow, starting. "Ah. Ah, yes. Sparrow is... ah. A cousin. By, ah, marriage."

"Cora and I are practically sisters." A sunshine grin and she offers out her hand.

"Married? But you're so young.." The woman smiles glancing at August, "I hope you.. oh nevermind. Got married young myself but hopefull yours will work out." She turns to shake Sparrow's hand.

"Hope springs eternal." And with contact, a touch of glamour.

August swallows nervously.

A gasp, and she shatters! Well, her mortal skin seems to burst open and a flood of glamour as yet another dream dance begins

Sparrow spreads her wings, protective.

Memories so real.....

Then.. a stagger... the grief suddenly fresh and raw..

She reaches out, grasping for an arm, a hand... osmething steady.

And she latches onto a hand ...and it's not August's..

August feels himself thrown back...

It was worth it, though, to save those souls..... he thinks faintly with the corner of him that isn't bound up in memories.

August shuts his eyes, shaking his head violently, seeking a way to ride through the memories, keep what he can of them.....

A strong pump or two of her wings plus the hand keep her upright. "Oh... that was intense, wasn't it?"

"What.. my lady? My lord? You're back!" And the new satyress, eyes full of tears, kisses Sparrow as if she hasn't seen a friend in years
