Coradel knows enough to apply direct pressure to August's wounds, at the moment. She glances up at Sergei, and nods quickly. "Please!"

He begins to check him "Amazingly, nothing broken... bruised though, the ribs. He'll have a hard time breathing. "

"Only bruised..." Coradel marvels, shaking her head. "It stepped right on him, but the book...."

"Burned the creature yes? Very dangerous Chimera that. I'd heard their appearance was on the rise."

"You know what it's called?"

The Varich breaks out alchohal, bandages and more "Oh da... it is a chimera tinged with banality if you can imagine.. a Nervousa called 'The Ignoramus Rex'"

At some point, August abandoned his blade; it lies a little way off. He did, however, protect the book when squashed.

Coradel scowls at the name of the thing, then takes the bandages from the Varich. "I can bind him. Let me."

The varich moves to the side and instead tends to the other Liam

Coradel carefully tries to reposition August without hurting him and works to wrap his ribs before he can wake up -- she wants to spare him the pain of that particular experience.

Zara returns with Emma in tow. The pooka sniffs, whiskers quavering gently. "Oh, smells like napalm in the morning..."

His hand still clutches the book, but he's moved easily enough.

"Ah," Sir Sergei rises away from Ivory "I leave them to your capable hands, Healer Emma. Ignoramus rex attack" As if that explains it all

Coradel takes a moment to look at the book title as she works.

Zara hears something, a fluttering!

Colton is following the bookwyrm "Bronte, she's fine. ...she's not hurt."

"Darling!" Zara reaches for the chimera, as Emma fusses over the two downed Liam.

"Oh, this is a full-fledged NPR intervention... " She picks up Ivory's hand and lets it drop back down. "Podcasts, stat!"

The dragonling seems much recovered, oh still bruised, but her print is clear again! And she almost face tackles the sluagh

“There is nothing I would not do for those who are really my friends. I have no notion of loving people by halves, it is not my nature.” Bronte exclaims as she and her sluagh familiar are reunited

Coradel stares at the book...then lovingly touches August's cheek. "Oh, my love...." A fond murmur.

"I'll be fine," IVory says "So much for me being the hero"

"You did bravely, Ivory."

"This is what zapped the thing better than any of the rest of us." She holds up the book so they can see the title: "A Fiona Primer: Being a short collection of works and information pertaining to House Fiona for those that would gain an acquaintance with them. By Sir Bachdion ap Fiona."

"Thanks, Zara, are you okay? " ap ause "Besides the dragon trying to lick your face off I mean?"

Colton smlies "It just happened, it's like some of her energy and pep came back to her..she spouted a buch of quotes WAY after my head.. then she got your scent, Miss Zara.. and off after you she went."

"Healer Emma...please check...I've bound his ribs, but he's not waking. Is there...can I do anything else?"

"Oh, I am glad it all worked out... yes, yes darling, I'm alright..."

"Well, certainly reading to him would make it worse..." the pooka quips.

Squire Colton gets August's blade "looks like he valued the book more than the sword"

"And THAT, Squire Colton, is why he's not dead" Sir Sergei says

Ivory rubs at his tending and mending , "Thank you, Baroness. I'd rather have bravely killed it, but thank you"

"Oh! Oh...yes..." She settles the book in her lap and carefully opens it, leafing through to find a good passage.

1122 knew they had it in the bag! And says so!

"Perhaps we could have a picnic hospital... oorrrrr...." Emma gestures towards the hold.

August shifts, wincing.

"You, Bucky Barnes." She points at Colton.

"Yes, Healer?" he says and moves to help

Coradel pauses from murmuring passages about the healing powers of eroticism to watch August. "My love...?"

August works hard and opens one eye. "....happen?"

He sucks in a breath and sits up with a sharp noise of pain. "Chimera... Zara?"

She beams at him. "Don't move. Chimera's dead. Zara's okay."

"Reach down and grip them tight and pull them from perdition?"

"Ivory got hurt, but he's recovering. Your ribs are bruised...be careful."

"I would carry them, oui, but..." an airy gesture from the short pooka.

She looks up to Colton and gives a nod for him to help August up.

August is blinking and looking around, assessing.... ok, no immediate threat.... he looks at Coradel. "Ow."

He takes the squire's help and carefully stands.

"You were wonderful, August." She smiles. "It was your book that did the most damage of all of us."

Colton says "Sure you're okay to stand sir? I can carry"
