Bachdion says "But I could help you."

"I'm a sidhe, apparently all I have to do is smolder" Ivory says

Bachdion sighs then looks to August "Inform your house brother it takes more than that"

August scratches the back of his neck. "Ahh.... "

"I was being some what sarcastic, Sir Bachdion. Is a tryst required for any member of the court?"

The Satyr says "Well, Fashionable at least."

Zara enters her library with a greenish scone in hand... to find the trio. A moment of startlement.

"It is -not- required." Firmly.

He glances as the door whispers open, and his cheeks pink slightly. "Ah, Good afternoon."

"Ah, Miss Zara," Sir Bachdion says, "perhaps you'd like to explain to Sir Ivory how romance is a sauce that turns life from a simple square meal into a banquet? He seems reluctant to even consider my advancing him towards several fine ladies in the area."

A pause, blinking.

"He doesn't -have- to, Sir Bachdion...."

"Well. Tis a Fiona hold, which... which is different..."

August nods.

"I'm not saying has to, but acting dismissive of it... it's hurtful" Sir Bachdion says ,and nods to Miss Zara "just so"

"Romance is a grand story, certainly... though I would think the object thereof must be chosen for reasons beyond mere availability. Certainly.. ah.. casual companionship is a..." She considers. "A feature, in a Lion's nest."

August sighs and rubs his temples.

Ivory says "I made the mistake of telling Sir Bachdion that I felt a bit like an albino lamb wandering A Savannah.. and his advice is to make sure I have the right garnish"

Another sigh, then he looks up.

Sir Bachdion snorts "I am merely saying romance, and not just casual trysts is possible and you should learn certain ways so if it does... you can do right in the happening"

"Sir Bachdion...." a nervous glance at Zara, unwilling, ".... is an excellent teacher on such matters. -If- you wish to make a study of it. It's perfectly acceptable if you do not."

"Oh. Aye..." A touch of pink. "Worryingly, the Fiona seem more intrigued by obstacles..."

"You mean the more I decline the more they'll want? Isn't that a bit perverse?" Ivory blinks

"Perhaps some fictitious paramour?"

August and Zara match.

"Ah. Perhaps.... Sir Bachdion, a primer, perhaps, of House Fiona? Something for, ah, the casual student. An overview?"

"Very well, but Sir Bachdion, I suspect you're..well, bored. And just looking for a new project." Sir Ivory says.

"Well, yes, quite bored really," Sir Bachdion says "Doesn't change the value of the lessons."

"In fact, I think I have the very thing. If you will excuse me, I'll go get it." With a slightly apologetic glance at Zara, he scoots out.

"Ah..."

"Miss Zara, " Bachdion says "A fictitious paramour? Surely you've heard of the dangers of making Canadian Girlfriend Chimera?"

"Well... celibacy wilt only attract them."

"I fear I have never had a surfeit of would-be suitors to discourage...."

Ivory bid farewell to August, then says to Zara "Maybe I should pretend to be gay."

Bachdion smirks at the idea of that being a shield.

"And then you will have the lions, not the lionesses..."

"On second thought... scrap that notion" He sighs

Bachdion says "That's why I'm telling you to be prepared. If you won't be the ardent admirer, you may find yourself in the role of the bashful beloved."

"Well... to be Galahad, that is no small thing?"

"there is a glamour to that as well" Bachdion agrees

Ivory says "The women here ah... take the initiative?"

Zara nods.

"But they might respect the power of the right kind of Dream?"

"I don't know if I'm ready to commit to any role I just..wanna be me" Ivory says

"And so newly sained, you have much to explore. Hm. Mayhaps a quest?"

"Then, obviously, you would not have time for dalliances."

"I have go out and risk my life to avoid romance.." Ivory starts to laugh

"Not all quests are deadly..."

"SHe's quite right," Bachddion says "Some quests are short and sweet, or more introspective than man vs man or nature"
