"You are preparing for quest. In doing so, you must needs set aside venal pursuits. You may thank them for their interest, you are flattered... but you must demur."

"Would that work?" he looks at Bachdion

"Actually yes, of course, some the ladies would pine for you even more for your gallantry and dedication"

"Pine from afar. Which... well, that is romantic in its own way, isn't it?"

"Thanks, Sister I think you might have taken a lot of stress off me" Ivory says

"It can be very satisfactory to pine, at least for a little while..."

"Sluagh are expert at it, though one would be a cad to name any specific sluagh as pining at all" Bachdion says "it's unsavory to expose one the gents or ladies of whispers so."

A gracious bow to Bachdion.

The silvering satyr returns it respectfully.

"There are rules for romance for each kith" Ivory blinks

"Oh, certainly."

"But of course" Bachdion says at the same time.

"Some might call them guidelines, or customs, but still, violate them at risk"

"Some are... well, mayhaps not rules - but things to expect? A nocker shalt nitpick, and loves nothing more than a squabble. To fight and curse does not necessarily mean anger."

"Nockers..." He says

"A troll can be overprotective, and must needs resist the urge to put their beloved in a well-guarded tower. A satyr - pray forgive, Bachdion - a satyr may share their charms easily, but it does not mean their heart is less true."

"Aye. I know overmuch of nockers."

"No offense taken, Satyrs are passion... some say we burn bright but brief."

"I am not so sure about brief, sirrah. But you would be the expert."

"Thank you" Bachdion smiles, " I was going to say that perhaps it's best to say we spread like wildfires, but as the good lady says, it does not mean we're not true. We just .. divide heart and body differently. Oh... Eshu! Be prepared to travel, or be prepared to grab a backpack and go along. Amazing lovers though and the pillow talk is most pleasant"

"Or give them leave, and be delighted when they return?"

"Though sluagh... well, we are jealous creatures. We do not share easily."

"So is that why Earl sneaks in and out of here?" Ivory says lightly teasing. "he knows better than to get distracted."

A bit of pink. "Well."

"Sir Earl is a gent," Bachdion says "And quite devoted... and also a bit of an introvert himself. If I may?" He looks to Zara, "You are more.. outgoing than some sluagh, Earl is far more isolated than some trolls... you seem to meet in the middle- more or less."

"I am... yes, social. Relatively speaking. But I am yet a sluagh."

"Quite so" he says

"Okay, and pooka?" Ivory asks, "Romance with them?"

"Have a thick skin, and learn to read tone and expression" Bachdion says "Wouldn'tyou agree, Miss Zara?"

She nods. "They all have their own.. ah.. tapestry, their own cadence. But they are dear souls with grand hearts."

"Which is what you must needs tell yourself when a prank has gotten into their head."

"Noted" Ivory says resigned. "Whoopee cushions with love"

"There is a range, nu? Our sister and her love seem to occupy very different parts of it..."

"She's right, Vashti is a far more reserved example of her kith, and yet, she loves Shalimar, who is often over the top in his typical pookaness. "

"Sigh? " Ivory says

"Pooka."

"Shalimar and Miss Zara have clashed upon a time... sluagh are often the very masters of genteel protocals...." Bachdion explains...or starts to.

"I thought that was we sidhe?" Ivory says

Bachdion grins "I"ll let miss zara answer THAT, but my point is, where as that is where the sluagh tend to stand, Pooka are the very soul of irreverence at times. "

A soft sniff. "Sidhe are courtly creatures, certainly. But when it comes to the fine details of proper etiquette...."

"But as sidhe don't we set the fashion, and thus we set what is proper?" Ivory raises the brow imperial

"And now you're baiting her," Bachdion accuses but with a smile.
