August clears his throat uncomfortably. "Ah. Well. She's thinking about Squire Honoria."

"Oh. " She sobeers an stops joking "Hum wonder why no one has taken Honoria before now? she seems a sweet kid"

"There's... it's personal issue, I think. Da'an."

"Oh, I won't pry then" She says "Who are you thinking of hooking up with Magnus?" Finally

"I suggested Bazyl; he had some concerns."

"Oh? Magnus is pretty savvy, has a lot to offer."

"I agree." With quiet pride. "He said his skills were more academic, though, and.... well, I have to agree."

"I couldn't -disagree-."

"Well, if Bazyl is wanting more atheltic battle stuff, I guess I could see myself havving an edge, not that Magnus doesn't live dangerously. Dealing with criminal busts and the like. " She paces, "Okay. I'll met Bazyl and see what I think, okay? I don't want to commit more than that"

August's smile shines like the sun. "Thank you, Leonora."

His whole demeanor lightens, brightens.

"You have a nice smile" She observes the obvious, then says "You're welcome. It's nice of you to try to help dreams come true"

"Oh, and thistlesnort has to like him too" she warns

And thistlensnort woofs

"Oh, certainly. He's an excellent judge of character."

BIC: "He is, isn't he?" She says proudly, "Who else are you thinking of matching with a squire if I may ask?"

"Well. Ah. If you and Bazyl work out, and we figure out how to help Squire Honoria, I might... ah... take the other two. Myself."

"TWO? Wow. August that's.. that's quite a load isn't it?"

"Y... yes. I suppose."

"Which two?"

"Ms. Shadecandle, and Tylar; sluagh and boggan, respectively."

"You do seem to like sluagh," she says "I find them hit or miss myself.But i guess you could say the same on any kith. still, two? You're going to be busy. "

He nods, expression grave. "Well. It takes a village, so Vince says."

"Isn't that the opposite of what it means though? the village is supposed to raise the one kid, not the One person a village of kids"

August chuckles. "No, I mean, I'll have help."

"Oh, mmm seems to me you should just see if the help will take on a squire, but okay. I'll talk to Bazyl"

August nods. "I'll discuss with Coradel before making a commitment. Thank you." Shyly, he takes her hand.

She smiles as he does so

"Thanks." He says more quietly, and kisses her cheek.

She kisses his and smiles, "Let me walk you..somewhere?"

"Ah.... do you mean....?"

"Just a walk... I assume you have a busy schedule" She leads him along unless he stops her "Sides , given how celebratory I suspect Coradel is? Juice, maybe even oysters before I drag you off" A chuckle.

August blushes. "Thanks for understanding."

"Very welcome, my friend" And she probably does head with him through the gardens, and then to the kitchen for some rest and juice at the least.

((Stepping back in time to Magnus's morning visit to August, and talk of a sword.))

August slips back inside, padding towards the bathroom in the dimness.

Coradel is stretching lazily in bed as he comes back into the room...he can hear the shifting of the sheets.

He smiles in the dark, slipping into the bathroom.

The shower starts.

A few minutes later, he can hear her voice. "Good morning, love. May I join you in a minute?"

"Oh, good morning. Of course. I hope I didn't wake you."

He sticks his head out of the shower, blinking, wet, warm.

"I don't mind." She goes to him, a waking smile on her lips, and gives him a sweet but brief kiss. "Give me a couple of minutes."
