"I see. And where do the pair of you come from?" She glances over at Delores and raises an eyebrow.

"I'm from the Memphis area, you know, Where Elvis was?" Style grins. "Now, can we start this up so you can get me hired? I like filling a lady's needs."

"Musical, of course."

Gideon blushes at this talk but readies his guitar

"We'll see."

Gideon begins to play, leading into 'Walking through Memphis', and the string work is ..beautiful, deft fingers . Then Style joins in, "Put on my blue suede shoes... " his voice is good, but Style struts, and seems to focus on showing off his range more than the song itself. Gideon keeps up when Style shoots the tempo up or strtches notes out.

She leans forward, green eyes fixed on the guitarist.

The pelvic thrusting may have been Elvis' style, and no doubt Style thinks he's good, but it really doesn't fit the song.

Gideon seems to be lost in the music, when he doesn't have to adjust and even then, she swears he almost gets tears in his eyes at the line 'ma'am I am tonight'

And those strings are glorious, with light taps on the wood doing nothing to distract from it, rather enhance, percussion serving the string

"He's cute" Leonora says admiring the physical form of the Satyr.

And he is, he's hot even. But his voice, while 'okay,' maybe even good, is having a hard time getting past himself.

"Yes, yes.... Gideon, do you know any folk? Maybe something... ah... Down to the River?"

Style shakes his head, "Not my, d are I say it..style?" A grin.//Claire says "She didn't ask you." /Gideon seems surprised to be adressed, then says "Uhm..well, yes. Yes I do."

"May I hear it please? it is a favorite of mine."

"Uhm, you want me to sing it too?" Gideon offers./"I do the singing, Gid. You're my back up, remember?" Style says a bit testily//"But you don't know the words," Gideon says meekly

"No. Let him play. I wish to hear the music."

Gideon nods, and plays it, as full of soul and heart as she's ever heard, first he plays the tune without the voice, and then he sings. Unlike Style trying to show off his range, Gideon yields to the music, his voice having range too, but in his case he makes his voice fit the song, happy to take it where it was meant to go and let it take him too.

She sits back, feathers fluffed. "How lovely."

"Thank you, Baroness." Gideon says.

He bobs his head in a bow

"His strings are gold, but his voice is at least silver" Jennette mutters

Gideon says "Hey, you like hip hop and rap? I got flow like you wouldn't believe."

She laughs. "I don't know hip hop that well - but I might be persuaded."

Once again Style performs. He's a satyr, they can't really screw up music, but the song chosen doesn't fit court, and it's all about him.

Gideon is quiet for this part.

Delores says "is it just me or is the backup better than the front man?" She whispers it , of course, but Sparrow can hear it.

A slight nod from the Liam, her expression thoughtful.

"Gideon, what would you play, if you could choose anything?"

"You mean instrument or song? You see my father was a musical instrument maker, so I used to learn how to play on all sorts to show them off... as for song, well, I love all sorts of music. I .. uhm do have a weakness for John Denver, Johnny Cash... I think I prefer ballads whatever the genre. It...the soul speaks and the music comes out and and you're there, you know? I like modern music too. Ed Sheeran's Perfect is one of the most romantic songs."

Leonora agrees, "Okay,I do melt at Perfect."

"I do like ballads. Old things, I suppose - though with this hair and name, at least part of me is old world. I like John Denver, too."

"What's going on here?" Style says "Are you hiring me or what?"

"Well. I do want to thank you for your interest and your presentation. You are certainly well-named, Mister Style. I invite you now to our Imbolc celebration - we shall be holding open an avenue for musicians of all kinds for consideration. The Lady Holder is Fiona, and wishes very much to be a patroness of the arts."

"Wait, you're not the new baroness?" He blinks.

gideon sighs wistfully at mention of the Imbolc

She steeples her fingers, watching the satyr now - on the dais, her wings spread, she could be a seraph sitting in judgement. "I am the Regent."

Style says "Regent? what the hell is a..." //"Mind your tone," Nansaidh says, hand on hilt, "Regent means she the voice of Baroness Coradel and the right of demense is hers. "

"And Regent means I can also extend an invitation to Gideon. Would you wish to join us at dinner tonight? I can offer you a warm meal and a night of welcome, if you were to play for us."

"Gideon's a nobody..." Style says "he's this geek I got for back up... " Irritated, Satyr passion rising.

Gideon shoots a glare at the satyr, then bows "I would be honored, Regent. And..thank you?"

"A nobody?" Her eyes narrow, wings mantled... something dangerous in that cool question.

"It was MY idea to come here." Style says "This guy's just in the background affraid to go outside his daddy's shop. He's nothing without me."

Gideon hangs his head

"And suddenly I don't care how hot he is" Leonora mutters.

"Nothing?" She focuses on the satyr. "You say he is nothing?"

"I'm the star" Style jerks a thumb at himself. There's something in this fellow that might remind her of...her Unseelie Side.

"No. You are the flash in the pan."

"And you show a lack of character when you came here to impress."

"Screw this" Style says, and looks to Gideon "Just remember, you never would have had the guts to come where without me." And he turns to stride out.
