#dreaming

They move on, the Wyvern keeps pulling ahead of them but then it is flying. There is a bit of a jolt, as they go down the hill after it... and they return to a nearer part of the Dreaming, the firchliss wearing off and they a bit less fae, and a bit more changeling

August feels the shift, being particularly sensitive to it, and glances behind him at the ladies "I'm going to move faster, try and get ahold of that dagger." and he starts to jog, speeding up.

"mayhaps gimmix?"

Her whisper is even softer here than it is in the mundane world, but she's now close enough to have her voice returned.

"the blood... there was blood on the path before? I think. Fuzzy." Even from one region of the Dreaming to another, the Mists can blur.

"Oh thank goodness that was so annoying," The eshu mutters as some of Zara's voice returns even a bit, "or was it that shopkeeper of.. that place?"

August might or might not have heard her; he's lengthening the distance between them and focused ahead. And, it's unlikely he has gimmix.

Ruzgarla also begins to race trying to catch up with August

Zara follows. She's not slow, but compared to August's height and the Eshu's stride, she's in the tail.

August sees the Wyvern, it has slown down to the point that it is now making circular motions over someone on the silver far ahead. He is gaining.

Zara is further behind, but her senses are still keen and she swears she hears her sister, Tziporah ahead taunting someone or something

Reckless. A sigh, and she hastens to catch up.

"My lord, can you Hopscotch?" Ruzgarla asks

"Yes, I can." and with this reminder, he draws his blade and weaves it in a complex 'kata' pattern as a bunk to LEAP forward.....

August might even be able to leap ON the Wyvern's back, IF he wanted to.

Seems like a good spot to get ahold of the dagger!

And UP he goes.... leaping onto the back of a flying wobbling Wyvern with a stinger tail that could come down any minute... it's a slippery landing.

Ruzgarla says to Zara "Let me guess, if he gets himself killed, the Baroness Coradel will be snippy with us for a year or more?"

"Oy."

Zara knows better. If August dies it will be a lot worse than that. For that matter, if he gets NEARLY dead , even if he recovers and she finds out, the Fiona might bristly for at least a week.

"Foolish, dear, earnest shmeggegie..."

"Let's make sure he doesn't get killed."

"Well, foul fortune it or fair fortune him then... I've got an idea" She lets loose a spell calling out "FIRE FIRE BURNING HIGHER MAKING MUSIC LIKE A CHOIR!"

And a flare bursts in front of the Wyvern's eyes, temporily blinding it

She drags her webbed hands down her face with a sigh. She's too old for this.

And... spins three times before spitting over her shoulder, tossing a Fair Fortune at August, just in case.

August... holds on!

Well, balances... the Wyvern, blinded does wobble, it's tail lashing blindly and missing August

(Zara might be reminded of a younger August who tried to jump across the gap from building rooftop to building rooftop.... and missed.)

"Are you sure he's not part Eshu?" Ruzgarla admires his audacity.

"Not entirely, no."

"Bless."

August makes his way towards the dagger as he slides to the side.

He clings even as he struggles to pull the dagger out. However, he does not attempt to use the dagger as a hand-hold; apparently he does not want to hurt the creature more than necessary.

Below August, a slightly wounded Tzip yells up "Overgrown Khazer lizard!"

Zara books it to the younger wilder, looking fit to scold.

August grabs the dagger!

(pardon, by BELOW August I meant on the ground /trod below, not in the Wyvern's clutches so no jumping off for her)

Clammy hands grab Tzipporah, and hastily check her over for injuries.

"SIS? What are you doing here? It's not safe" Tzip says

She gives Tzip a look.

August says "I'm removing this dagger; if you land, it might be easier and less painful for you!" to the Wyvern. Just in case.

The Wyvern asnwers by trying to stab at August but still blinded ahs trouble.

Tzip notices the look "Don't give me that look, I'm not some pisher newb anymore"

Ruzgarla blinks as August tries to REASON with a Wyvern "Did he ever NOT try the olive branch with those trying to kill him?"

Tzip answers that , "Not that I've seen. PRetty much always. Zara you know him better?"

"The wyvern has a right to live, too, nu?" Oh, that's right, this is Zara. No wonder she's friends with August.
