It would appear that the local trods took a beating but thanks to Olgar have already regained their Silver, but the smell of Magnolias mixes now with the scent of apples, and the trods do look a bit wavier than before. The terrain around seems to be a nature documentary... Local Chimera, even local nightmares, fighting with more Southern Nightmares... some of it is brutal to watch. Others comical... an inch of slow falls and there are screams and school closings as swarms raid milk , bread ,and toilet paper

Dagmar walks so that Piper is placed between herself and Olgar.

"I don't remember it smelling so nice and flowery." Piper observes.

"It does smell nice."

She turns away from a brutal scene, fixing her eyes on the pavement for a few steps.

Something about a mob rioting in a grocery store, and.. did that woman get trampeled?

"They don't know how to handle snow down theree" Olgar nods

She swallows. "I... see."

"Only been down south the one quest." She shrugs.

"ANd from what I understand, New Orleans is... different?"

"Every place is different if you look back enough, but yeah, the French and Carribean influences on N' Orleans does make it stand out... I"m dropping you guys off in Rowan Oak which Isn't like that but has it's own charm. " They move along "This is the easy part. Me and my boys ahve secured it." ALong with them , Echo bounds, the dog looking bigger than he does in Autumn lands

"There's the nicest little freehold in New Orleans, Sweet Sorrows... I hope they're still doing okay. It's been a couple years since I met them."

Olgar glances at her at that "I'll check on it"

"Beignets! They remembered you!"

"Really? " She perks up. "They were just barely holding on, times are tough. Their balefire was more of a gas lantern, flickering...." Swivels to look at Dagmar, and BEAMS! "You've been there??"

"They helped Symon and I."

"What part of Willows is Rowan Oak IN, anyways?"

To Dagmar, "They would. They're good people, even if they don't have a lot."

"Roanoke's in Virginia."

"So I forget what duchy, but - you know, lost colony?"

Blink. Blink blink. "Roan... awwww, geez. I feel dumb."

Shrug. "I remember it from class. Clearly the colonists just went native, I don't see the big mystery."

"They got some DNA evidence that hints they might have" Olgar keeps walking "Science has some wonders and nighmares too. Don't tell any nocker I said that. They're smug enough"

"Piper..." A voice calls out "Piper, it's me... your long lost dad..." There she can see her dad, he looks, very dadish... all wise and gentle and strong and....off the silver

She squints, looking for feathers. Then, she laughs. "Poor try, I give you... 2 out of 10."

It huffs and vanishes

"Yup. Keep walking " Oglar nods

"Didn't even make a pun. Dads gotta pun."

"Also, he doesn't know I'm coming... a better try would be to mock him up in trouble but make him recognizable so I might fear he was on the silver and fell off..." A pause, and she calls loudly to the dreaming, "NOT a suggestion, thanks!"

Soft grunt that might be a laugh.

"Noted" a voice calls back

Piper almost stumbles in surprise!

Olgar chuckles an they leave Bergen's trods completely... and it gets worse.. the trods here more warped than before. THere are rovers here too, but it is clear that other Counties got hit harder. Olgar grumbles and sees a tarnished trod, and bends down and starts to chant. SIlver restores "Gotta do that a lot. Dagmar, keep an eyes open, we may have a repeat"

Piper's hooves tap nervously as she watches. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"Actually Piper, I'm not sure of your abiltiies... but.." A look "Huh, maybe so... you got music that can project ... peaceful vibes or at least didsourage agression? I Know it won't affect everything but it might buy me more time to work when I need to"

She considers, then looks to Dagmar. "Can you keep an eye on me while I play? I want to focus, but not to the expense of stepping wrong off the road."

Dagmar nods. "I can guard. Guarded Olgar before."

She pulls off her guitar... it takes a moment to try to manage it with her backpack, but she manages to get it slung over and in proper playing position, and she plays, and sings, a calm, poignant tune about dreams. A soft, sad song, perhaps, but far from aggression.

"Somewhere, over the rainbow..."
(etc)

"Must have worked. I'm all alive and stuff" Olgar mutters with grumbly humor

Grunt. Faint upwards quirk of her mouth.

/roll explode 7 Cha + Performance

(soft cough, buffs nails nonchalantly)

And it rains, gently, beauitfully, and where it rains, much of the natural native dreams remain while the other intruders calm, and seem to float south... a rainbow arises, and nightmares wince and slink back...

and a sense of sad peace flows everywhere. SOme grief, but most hope

Olgar blinks "Damn kid, that's.. poweful singing"

A soft sigh.

She smiles, and transitions into another song... this time, listeners might feel a strange urge to link arms and skip along!
