"This kind of seems like a test disguised as a gift" Clem observes. She's got a savage legacy but she's not dim.

"What an interesting coincidence" Baba Yaga grins

"Well... this place cannot be a place of learning without resources. Kind Grandmother, may you leave a grimoire - a book of shadows for students to seek and study?"

"Done..." the old woman says "And you, my firey one?"

She tips a gesture of thanks to Baba Yaga.

"Cats. We need cats in the haven" Kenzi says without missing a beat, then looks 'yeah I know ,everyone things i'm gonna ask for a new cauldron or tool.. but I'm also a girl and I'm allowed to dream of being a fire witch AND a crazy cat lady. Multiple life goals here"

Zara smiles at that.

"Hah.. I find they go well in soup, but younger witches have other uses. yes, granted" A look at Clem

Clem blinks looking lost "Something..witchy?"

"Yes, Clementine... surely you can think of SOMETHING witchy ? What does Witchy mean to you?" baba yaga waves a laddle

"The magic of the land, of seasons, of trees and beasts?" encouraging.

Clem ponders then admits "Well, it always seemed to me that a witch needs to understand the land true..." Then a look at her friend, then back "Secrets hidden, some here already, others that will appear.. yes that's it. Each season here will have their secrets that have to be found. Secrets that can't be found any other time of year."

"You have brought the seasons to this haven, annd with each season, a few secrets? Oh.. I like this one." Baba Yaga admits

Zara sparkles quietly. "Oh, aye."

"Great gglad you both do, because I'm thinking maybe I should have put some guard rails on what i just said..." Clem wonders aloud

"Too late now" Kennzi says "Should have gone with brooms or something"

a chuckle that echoes... and Baba Yaga is gone...

"There shalt be autumn leaves in the future, and secrets now, and a Book full of secrets, too!"

"And cats."

"Give summer it's day," Clem says thenn groans "Damnn it. I'm still unseelie. Should have asked to 'witchyily' make me Seelie again? Family is paranoid enough"

"Oh, why do you despair so?"

"Family is this close to askinng me to leave the farm until I'm back to 'normal' that's why" Clem huffs "Judgmental self righteous old giannts"

"Do you truly wish my help? I rather like you Unseelie."

"See, I should be irked" Clem says "I thought you liked me either way"

"I do like you both ways, but this is the rarer face."

Kenzi hears something, then opens the door "Aww "

"I believe the cats have appeared."

"Oh guys, there's at least seven in view... there's a silver tabby, and an orange one, a a manx, and a bombay, a Maine Coon.. oh geez I better get some food out ofr them" Suddenly the tough talking cajun is scrambling to feed the cats left over stew

"Now who is the kittywitch?"

"PBBBTT" Kenzi goes over her shoulder, even as she pets the cats that have gathered

Well... Zara might fuss a bit too over the felines.

Clem smirks and whispers "Well, you did want her to think you were the least.. the runt of the litter gets her ear chewed on a bit"

Zara bats her eyelashes. "Ah, but I am a humble soul. Though to be underestimated is not to be mocked."

Of course, by that time, Zara has found a cat that... well, how could this one not deserve pets? Look a those eyes

"Hello, little one." She scoops it up for special ear scritches.

"Oh we get to name them" Kenzi almost squees as she strokes a tabby

Clem rolls her eyes "They're just cats, don't feed them too much, we'll want them to be leann and ready for mousing... and what are you doing?" She is speaking to the maine coon that has decided to rub his face into hers and say HI!

"Be mindful. Names have power."

"Gotcha, Wittykitch" Kennzi smirks

Clem says "they donn't need names, they're cats. Not like they'l come when called"

A huff.

"Fine fine" Clem says "name em. I like dogs better anyway."

"You would like the maine coon then."

"Apparently it likes me" Clem says as the overly friendly Maine Coon cannot get a clue

"Good, you're that cat's witch then" Kenzi informs Clem

"Isn't that supposed to be the other way around?" Clem blinks confused

The cats are chimerical, so unusual colors (Such as purple eyes) or odd patterns are definitely in play
