Zara zips along the newest path, riding her grey broom.

She is a being of mist and water and shadow here, and fog seems to follow her.

"It's a threat to security is what it is, "The voile on Clem has shifted as she has grown, her winter touch not dimminng her desire to protect

Kenzi's hair seems truly aflame now, she almost resembles a solimoid more than a nocker...

"You think one could get to your hat? I am not certain that is how it works..."

"I mean the vine is.. to the farm?" Clem says "And how is Kenzi's hat NOT burning?"

"Magic.. geeze. I thought kittywitch was the new girl" Kenzi says

Clem gets a look as the nocker uses the nickname. Oh, the troll will pay for this.

Clem fights a smirk, sure she might be in trouble but damnn it, it IS funny, however she does help by throwing things back at Kenzi "Look, Cajuncooking..." the pun obvious, "I get that the hats have powers but still... seems like one day the glamour might twist and then you're pretty little head will risk a boom."

The area they walk pastt in the near dreaming is... a mix of views... on one side, images of persecution, of a woman whose healing was cutting into the demand for a guild of churegeons (Men only) annd she is facing the gallows for 'witch craft'. Of a man crying out 'more weight'... and then dying defiantly. Burnings unfair and unjust

"We could suss out the directionality - it may be a bridge with only one end, so to speak."

"I think it is.." Clem delcares

On the other side, glorious! Kings and princes beggingg this or that witch for a favor or solution only her wisdom can bring! Soldiers tipping hats to an old woman and leaving a village spared so not to invite her evil eye. Great dances meant to bestow fertility to a barren land an succeeding... Clem pauses at that one

Zara takes in both sides, in balance.

Kennzi glares at the persecutions and curses under her breath

"They shall always pursue. But first, they must catch us."

and both women with her smile "watership down" they say in sync

It would appear there's a book all three like

And then... they come ot the end of the vine. A treacherous river of dreams covers the silver threatening to wash them away

And beyond, a land they cannot quite make out

"River? " Clem asks "Looks like your work"

Zara brings her broom low, and lays a hand on the water's turbulent surface.

Annd the waters.. part.

"Holy Moses" Kenzi says as the trod is laid bare and dry again

"Kitty. Feh." She shoots across with a defiant lttile burst of speed.

this forces the others to hurry after, lest it close again

And they see a view that is... well.. a group of witches could certainnly make use. For they are in Witch Haven...

"It's gorgeous" Clem declares "Just the right mix of light and shadow, creepy and beautiful to appease..."

"I think this is just one small part of it..." Kennzi adds

"Oh, this is wonderful..."

And there's smoke coming from the house

"Someone's home" Clem observes and takes lead to defend them

As they move, Zara can see Kenzi wasn't wrong. this place seems to have slices of other 'witchy ' views

and more...

It gets swampier to one side, dryier and higher in another

And there are at least three huts or houses , not huge but quite stylish

True, true.... but curiosity draws the sluagh to the occupied one.

And so is Clem.

Kennzi looks at the hut "I don't see any chicken legs."

and a voice from inside says "that is because this is not MY house.. is borrowed. "

The voice is old, familiar.. Grand mother

Zara approaches the door. "Dobrý deň, Grandmother."

"Oh, manners are remembered, this is good" the door swings open "Enter, enter, and know you do so while I am full"

Zara slips out from her shoes before entering - shooting a look at her companions as she does so.

"Aye? Full of wonders, it would seem. And I, of course, full of questions. Thank you for your hospitality."

The others follow and do the same

"You are such nosey girl, little Zara but a least you do not deny this. Clem, winter looks good on you..."
