Clem says "Well, Dagmar has pretty eyes"

"But we're making her uncomfortable and it's not fair" Clem says "Oh, Not sure I've said this, but hell of a Pennon's show earlier this month, Dagmar. And Agnes loved your mom's Pepper jack cheese log cabin"

"It is really good, yeah. My mom is the best cook."

"Now everybody ELSE knows it, too!"

"You understand why I dare not say so this close to Hearth Agnes?" Clem says

"Dagmar might be just a wee bit biased, but really those were good" Siv agrees

"I mean, you can have your best, whatever. But my mom is the best."

"To your mom" Clem holds up her soda drink in toast form

"To your mom" Siv agrees

A smile and she lifts her glass.

And the toast given they savor

"MMm" Clem says "reminds me. I have to gather the flowers for my own mother"

"Oh?"

"For Samhain.. honoring the dead. I miss my folks sometime" Clem says

"Oh..."

"oh" Siv says .

CLem says "it's okay, girls. Long time ago.. or so it feels" She rises

"Now you two pardon me. I Need to tend to the farm. And the school . And the farm. Work load doubled"

"Welp, I can help with work!"

"I thought you were taking time off till samhain?" Clem says surprised

"Off school. Could help around the farm."

"Well shit" Siv rises "Me too then."

Clem says "Okay. Who wants to mlik the cows?"

Shrug. "Kay"

"Good. Siv, you're on Pumpkins"

"How halloweeny" Siv says. And the two head out to help

And somewhere, Connor is talking to Chorus, the Hydra is learning the Baby shark song. No one will ever get tired of that
