CC's sight and voice seem to break him out of his daze and he hustles over with, no doubt, Theodore and perhaps others.

And indeed, this time the men folk won't be denied.

Though Agnes barks "Few of you at a time, please. Theodore, Emerson you first"

"After you, Theodore."

Theodore nods "Thank you kindly" And he moves in "April?"

Emerson follows, seeking CC first, then April.

CC wipes her brow "Got a bit ugly in here..we had to do some communal witchcraft"

None of the other women gainsay this statement

He takes her hand. "You are well? April?"

April looks..beat "One of the girls almost... well.. the cord was...wrapped around.. and that turned another girl around... I lost ..some blood" She looks pale "But Clem brought it back."

Emerson waits his turn at the bedside, and gives April another kiss. "Well done, my dear."

April smiles weakly "Aunt Agnes tells me I get to lord this story over the girls in the future when they misbehave."

Clem looks drained, in every sense of the word

"You most certainly do. And, no doubt, you have an increased respect for your own mother." With a bow to the Maude in question.

"Oh yes" April says

Maude actually looks abit amused at that, and she is fussing with CC over the three new babies

Two of the three girls have their mothers golden hair, but the last appears to have curlier hair... and it is almost shock white. The marks about her neck indicate this is the one who almost died.

"The hair might darken over the years" CC says

"They are beautiful." He says softly.

Maude says "Well, both April and I are blond so perhaps not but..." She runs her finger over the shock white hair "This poor girl."

"Poor?"

"Nearly died..." The grandmother says

"She'll be fine, mom. They'll all be just fine." April breathes easier.

"She lives. indeed, Miss Maude." Emerson sounds reassuring.

"I think the names might need to be changed, " Caesar says to April staring at the three little girls " Iwas expecting a few boys, instead I get three more wonderful daughters"

Good thing he put in that last.

"Yes, and May Maude took some of the roman names I was considering, Caesar. I'm sorry." April says

"How about some sensible DeBuke names?" Maude says "Agnes, or Eugena?"

April says "mom, you named us after MONTHS...."

"Well, your father helped with that. Thought it would help keep it simple." Maude blushes "but yes, I did"

"I'm starting to get it now," April admits

"Are Greek names an option?"

"Of course," April says

"Open to suggestions," Caeser nods

"Just opening the topic."

"How long did the actual delivery take?" April asks curiously

"Only three hours" Clem says "Though I did help rush them along"

"Three hours? It felt like three months" April says then says "or longer" Wistful, a thought "mmm"

"What is it?" Caesar says

"Not months..seasons.." her thought coming to mind, "Summer, Autumn, and Winter" She gestures to each

"I cannot throw stones," Maude admits

"WOn't our daughters fuss about that later?" Caeser says with a smile

"Probably, we'll get them some middle names as back ups. " April says

Emerson looks almost stricken, then covers it; only CC would have noticed.

CC puts a hand on his, gently.

He pats her hand back, appearing perfectly at ease.

"Great, my mom and your mom can fight it out over who gets to influence you there," Caesar says "I'll make popcorn."

April gives a weak laugh

CC looks at Maude, "I'm Sorry, Maude. I didn't beat my son enough as a child."

Maude says "Seems to me, I didn't time out April enough either. "
