And out he goes to see Hearth Agnes at the door "Mister Stodgepole. Well, well. Tired of the boys?"

He holds up his hands, palms facing her. "I don't plan to enter, I just wanted to be nearby."

"mmph, well, Miss CC and May maude both seem to think you're allowed from what I hear.. but i imagine..."

The door opens, CC beams "Second one"

"I wouldn't dream of interrupting." With a smile that brightens when CC makes her announcement.

CC beams kisses EBG, and then ducks back in.

He seems entirely happy to wait.

And sure enough , Clem comes out "Mother's fine, kids have arrived. Father will probably get drunk tonight"

"May I?" He asks permission.

"May Maude's asking for you"

That seems to both surprise and delight him, and he goes inside.

Clem smiles as he goes past.

May Maude, looks too exhausted to be surly. Two infants lay on her looking nearly as tired.

"Two girls. What are the odds?" She says "Hey girls, meet your Pop Pop"

A careful sigh as he kisses CC and then turns to May. "Really, my dear?"

"CC says she'd give me extra cash if I called you that and taught them to do the same" May Maude smirks

"Though I thought they'd be boys" She admits

A snort and the satyress gets a -look-.

CC dimples most aggressively and smugly at William

"They're beautiful, May Maude" It must be MM's mother, a full troll, she nods

"Madam, allow me to introduce myself. Emerson Stodgepole." He offers his hand. "Congratulations."

"And Miss May, they are indeed beautiful." He takes a closer look, but not TOO close.

"Maude," The woman says eying the hand, then sighs "My husband says we should be grateful for your help. But I'm not crazy about you stealing away some of my girls"

And she shakes it

May Maude rolls her eyes "Mama, I've got a chance to travel. It's either in luxury or as a merchant marine... so which do you prefer out of A or B? Because there's no C."

The babies are adorable...patches of dark hair on their scalps

"Beautiful." He confirms.

"Faustina and Aquilla" May Maude declares

"What kind of names.." Her mother frowns

Emerson chuckles and gives May a twinkle.

Caesar smiles "After roman empresses"

"oh? Is taht it?" May says playing dumb "I just liked the sound of them"

CC glows

"Faustina and Aquilla." Emerson repeats in welcome.

Clem is supportive, "I think they're going to be fine additions to our naming tree one day"

Caesaar grins like a fool, more so when he gets to hold the girls

But soon, the visit will need to end. Mother and babies need to rest.

"Oh, yes, of course. Miss CC?" He offers his arm.

She takes it, "Of course, Mister Stodgepoole" She smiles, and kisses both new parents on the cheek, her son gets that AND a hug.

then they head out
