Nods and grunts, and someone says "Beer or Coffee, Emerson?"

"Coffee, please." with a smile.

Coffee is made, sugar and cream available to season , "So.. Emmerson, is it true May Maude and April Maude will like have their kids raised by their dad?"

"I believe Caesar wishes very much to be involved in the lives of all the children. June, of course, understandably wishes to stay here. May is interested in travel. April seems content in Kansas City."

Some grunts and nods .. not so much full approval as acceptence and conformation

"April surelhy seems sweet on Caesar."

"Well, satyr or not, he's been a good man in this."

"He is a far better man than I." Emerson agrees.

"I enjoyed his wrestling but htought the nice guy thing was an act . Might owe him an apology"

"I don't think he heard you doubt him, Ned," A chuckle from the Mountain

"He will take care of the Maudes, however they wish, and the children." He's sure.

"Farm air is good for young ones" Oen man says "Just saying"

"No doubt!"

Trolls aren't gossips, but the conversation does center around manythings.

One middle aged man in particular, wipes his brow and looks nervous

Emerson seems just as typical a boggan as any.

And they've worked with boggans. Seems boggans get some respect around here, and why not? hard working kith. That said, it is also obvious that word is out that Emerson might just be a bit on the shady side (no pun intended) so they dont' all drop their guard about matters regarding farm lay out or the like. Still, trolls, so straight forward.

Emmit looks at the worrying guy "You'll be a great grand father, Theodore"

"Just didn't expect it to happen all like this" The father of maudes says

He smiles and offers his hand to Theodore. "I don't recall being properly introduced. Emerson Stodgepole, I am Miss CC's partner."

"Theodore, also a DeBuke," The man shakes hands. "Heard a lot about you, sir. I want to thank you for looking after my daughters. I.. I wasn't always the best father to them, but I'm ...well, they're my girls. So I appreciate all you've done"

"It was truly pleasure, no burden whatsoever. Each one is a jewel."

"If you mean they're all pretty, cutting and a bit rough in turns, I'd agree with you" The man smiles

Emerson chuckles. "Your words......"

"was a time I wanted sons, hoped they'd be trolls" the kinain says "But ..truth... each of them has proven to be a source of..well.." Sheepsih "You know. And as for the grand kids? Long as they're healthy"

"Of course, of course." He agrees. "Do you work on the farm, then, Theodore?"

"Some, also handle an ice cream truck in the summer"

"Oh, charming!"

"It's nice. If I had paid more attention to my own kids instead they might have been better off."

He tuts. "Theodore, the ladies are charming and smart. If the proof of the pudding is the end result, I daresay you did just fine."

"More credit to their mother" he admits

"Might I have the opportunity to meet the lady?"

"Not likely she's hovering over May Maude i bet"

He did see a woman rush in as he went out

"Ah. Perhaps we'll meet properly later."

"Sure you will" he says and takes a drink "I hear you and Miss CC have a club?"

"We do. Closed just now, of course."

"Course" A nod "You folks doing okay? May's acting like the bills are covered but if you need help..."

Soem mutters of agreemeent from the other DeBukes "We can chip in, srue"

"Well, I thank you most kindly. I'm sure we can work something out."

Talk of food supplies being most easy.

Stodgepole clearly knows quality.

And this wins him points "See, a lot of folks don't get that about hops" Nods

This gets a big discussion on hopology

Emerson listens with interest.

And then...sounds of cries, baby cries from the outside, and someone yells "First one's out!"

Emerson puts down his glass (having taken a beer as they talked) and hustles over.
