Frank turns his head again, nods to Brekke, and heads for the trod with his sandwich.

And Jaymes grunts a farewell and goes with.

Brekke nods back to Frank and watches him go.

King of the Road.

Jessica, frowning, looks at Brekke and instead of saying anything, takes a bite of sandwich.

"I dont' suppose assuring you folk that Elder Form should hold well will ease your discomfort?" Clem ask those remaining

Brekke watches after Frank even after he's on the trod...then she inhales deeply and turns to speak to Clem. "It helps to know that her disguise is sturdy. But she is still in danger."

Jessica chews, listening with a frown.

"AIn't no denying that" she admits.

A look to Jessica. "You should be there, when Tweak arrives. You should go to Rivervale."

A deeper frown. "I was going to go back to Renaissance. Dad knows Tweak. But now my Holding is without a leader." She looks at Clem. "I'll talk to Cinder but I suspect she'll want to stay for, um... for... um, making a friend. That's ok? If she stays?"

"Understood." Brekke nods. "Cinder?"

"She's a Fyre Mare that ended up at Fenix after last Samhain. I, um, I thought she'd enjoy meeting some of the horses here....."

"Of course" CLem says "Wish you could stay longer, Jessica. I think a few more days of just good hard work by day and lazy evenings might be a break of sort. But you're always welcome here"

"It was nice to get away, no matter how little." Jess says sincerely. "I just have to get back, make sure we're secure there."

"Farm therapy," Brekke attempts a quip.

A smile at Brekke's quip "Just so." Then Clem holds out her hand to Jessica, "You call if you need. You hear me?"

Jessica nods at Brekke's quip, and takes Clem's hand, shakes it. "Same at you." She turns to Brekke, still a bit concerned. "You ok?"

Her lips pressed together thinly, she nods. "This is difficult. In many ways."

CLem offers the hand then to Brekke, "Chieftain. You can bet your boots if a certain someone ends up here... I'll be sure you get told."

"Mom....."

"I appreciate that, Chieftain," Brekke says to Clem. Then to Jessica, "I will be fine."

Jessica would like to say more but doesn't; she just nods. "Yes'm. I'll go talk to Cinder and get home then. I mean, back to Renaissance." She offers a hand to Brekke.

And CLem with draws to let them have a last mother daughter moment

As when they met today, Brekke grips Jessica's hand in a warrior's clasp, but then draws her in to hold her close. "I am proud of you, Jessica. I wish you did not have to leave now, but I understand."

She might be just a bit startled by the embrace, but she returns it. "Thank you, mom. For everything. Be careful. I want to help so keep me informed."

"As much as I can. Remember what you know and what you do not know, yes?"

She nods dutifully.

"Ok. I will. Um. Ok, I should go." Another quick hug, and she looks at the sandwich. She turns to the paddock, carrying it with her.

(When there, she'll clarify Cinder's plans and either include her or not, for the time being, in a quick return to Renaissance.... and off she goes)
