"Your father. He is very angry about this. Understandable." But she goes back to that brooding posture. "We believe there to be two informants for the Leanhaun lady who seeks to harm us, one the nocker we have seen, the other a pooka we have not. But of course, now there may be more. It is hard to say."

"Yeah. I bet dad is -beyond- pissed." Thinking about it. "Ok, are this nocker and pooka Leanhuan themselves or just paid?"

"That, I cannot say."

"Ok. Can you tell me what happened to Siv?"

"I did not see it. She..." A frown. "The nocker had been harvesting information from wilders. Siv found out, tried to follow him, I think. He spotted her, tried to run her down in a car. Vali intervened, so the nocker went after Vali, caught him up in some sort of wire. Siv jumped on the car to try to stop it. Dagmar tried to help, but...the car went into that ravine, you know the one. Siv and Vali both almost died...and by the time we were done healing them and could look for the nocker, he was gone. Dragged off."

She swallows hard. "Is Vali ok?"

She nods. "It was bad, but he is well."

She relaxes a bit. "Good. Dagmar?"

A slight grin. "Dagmar rode a galloping fae steed to help defeat the nocker, and brought both Vali and Siv back to the Lodge to save them. She is...surprising."

Jess blinks. "Dagmar? She's the... the sullen one, right? Jaymes was going to adopt her?"

Brekke nods. "Jaymes did, and he married Tove. They are a family."

A small smile, distracted. "Well, good for them." She stops, putting things together in order; very Frank.

"So... what needs to be done?"

"Primarily...your story needs to be consistent with ours. However, there is a good chance that they will hunt you to harm Rivervale. Be wary. And...anything your people know or see on this would be helpful."

"Well. In Feathered Serpent?" Dubious.

(Somewhere a phone rings)

"Jessica...the Leanhaun have reason to hunt you, as well." A significant look.

She exhales, nods. "True."

Brekke sighs. "We will never destroy an entire house, so there is always the risk from Leanhaun. But if we can defeat this one woman, the others may think twice."

"What do we know of her?"

"It is hard to say for certain. Leanhaun, a lady of the House. She planted a cold iron axe on a mortal in an attempt to poison the land of Rivervale."

"Cold.... was that why Siv....?"

An eyebrow. "Why Siv what?"

"Why she was injured?"

"No. This was a different time. Siv...well...the nocker shot her, twice, while she rode atop the car."

"-Shot?-"

Brekke nods, staring at a middle-distance.

"Ok. Ok. Jeeze...." Jessica looks like she'd like to sit down. "Is Rivervale safe?"

A sigh. "Not as safe as I would like."

Jessica's expression is grim. "So we deal with this Leanhuan lady and make it safe. What do we need to do?"

Clem walks up shaking her head.

"First, we need to give Siv room to work. We are saying she is in a coma and cannot be seen."

"Ok."

"Chief... one day I'm sure I'll know if this is a good or bad thing, but as I am unmarried I can only guess. Your husband is on the way" Clem says

Jessica lifts both eyebrows.

Brekke listens with a carefully neutral expression, then a nod. "Thank you." Brooding again.

"You're welcome. Sorry, Jessica. He sounded in a rush about it"

And Clem turns and heads towards the kitchen yelling something to folks there

Even as Frank might arrive

Brekke looks to Jessica. "Your father will be glad to see you," she mutters.

"Well.... good?"

And indeed, Frank and Jaymes stride into the FarmHold's lands and towards the main buildings.

Brekke turns to face them as they draw close, standing tall, a furrow between her brows. "Frank. Jaymes."

Jaymes comes in, stone faced which for him merely means he's breathing.

"Jessica... what brings you here? I called Fenix and your Dame Mitra said to call Clem, although she refused to tell me you were here."

"I came here to.... um, introduce someone to the Farmhold. Anyway. They said mom was here just now and now that you are. And mom told me what's been happening."

Jaymes nods, but an extra nod to Jessica with "Hello again" down right warm.

"Hello, Jaymes."

Brekke nods. "Frank...Siv is hidden."

A thundercloud crosses his face and sparks might arch between his horns, but..... he nods.
