"Thank you for that, too." he says more graciously about the magic, and loads the guy up in the trunk. He gives her a kiss "I'll be back soon. Lock the doors."

"What, when we have our amazing guard dog who will surely trip them to their deaths?" A return of the kiss "Yes, dear. Knock shave and a hair cut when you get back. I'll have some food on for you"

And he makes good use of that. Drive far out of town down unlit dirty country roads to some out of the way overpass or culvert. Pop him out of the trunk, strip him naked and secure him to a tree A gag, of course. Using a permenant marker he writes. "Evidence exists. Don't do it again." on the burgular's bare chest. Make sure that dart comes out. William regards his work thoughtfully.

A nod. He'll check that out tomorrow. Meanwhile, he moves the car out of sight down the road, walks back, and wipes the tracks in the dirt away as he walks back to the car.

He almost wishes he could be there when the mortal wakes, but....he gets in the car and returns to Callidora.

He comes back to find the cracked window cardboarded...

"Clever girl." he says with a smile as he enters.

And there's the smell of lamb!

"Ooooo...." he hangs up his things and bustles to the kitchen.

"Too late, I've already started cooking without you. Mwhahaha" She grins though "You're lucky you weren't shot by the way. Shave and a haircut, remember?" She does have a small hand gun nearby

"Oh dear, Dearest, my apologies." sincerely contrite. "I should have remembered, you are right."

"Fortunately our faithful dog... who loves meatballs as you know, raised not a woof. " She kisses Emerson "Now sit down , another ten minutes and it'll be done. Trying it with some of those fancy peppers. Nothing too heated for you"

"Bless you." he murmurs. Before he sits he asks "Shall I get us a bottle of wine?"

'Oh, excellent idea, dear!" She approves

He goes to get that; a nice white merlot for the lamb, perhaps.... but he also checks the wall safe.

He checks it for damage, inspects the contents; nothing missing or added? and then secures it before returning with the bottle.

"What took so long ? have trouble picking out the perfect wine?"

She tilts her head

"Oh, I was checking the safe. Nothing missing or added, I've changed the code...." and he gives her the new one.

"Oh. I'll need to write that down and put it on a sticky note near the safe so I dont' forget" She says in her best Edith Bunker impersonation

She can't help it, she laughs and double checks the peppered lamb. He may notice there are also some rolls ...they but await buttering.

"Mmmm." dryly, before he offers to butter her buns.

A sly look "you may tend to the rolls, yes"

So he does.

"Now, I won't ask how you took care of that trash problem we had. You seem to want it that way" A smile

"My only thought is to spare you concern, Dearest."

"You're a sweetie" She breaks out the lamb

He serves her buns.

"ooo fancy butter. I forgot we had this"

"Compound butters are not difficult." William might have made this, or boosted it from the Club.

"Oh sure, rub it in. I tried to make that home made cinamon butter and nearly started a kitchen fire."

A start, then a smirk. "If you nearly started a kitchen fire, you meant to."
