"The tearing down didn't so much as the sweeping up after."

He doesn't bother to correct her. "I will see what I can do."

"Thanks , Dear. Now lesson extended, whatever will we do? Summer months coming to a close"

"Hmm... fancy a trip to the beach?"

"Depends, are we talking the River shore, or an actual 'oh my god is that an ocean out there'? beach?" Intrigued

"Ocean-side." he assures her.

"Atlantic, Pacific, Or Gulf?" Cautious , of course technically the gulf is also Atlantic

"Do you have a preference?"

"Honestly, our little Carribean trip a year or was it two years ago is the most often I've been to the beach except for a few walks in Southern Lousiana. Mmm I think I'd like to try either East or West coast... do YOU have a preference?"

"Hmmmm... Atlantic City or San Francisco...." a tough choice.

A grin "It is.. but you make both sound intriguing"

"Would you care to hit the gambling tables or eat sourdough?"

A deep laugh "oh goodness.. is that the sum of both spots? I suppose it is. Let's try San Fran, though I understand they hate when strangers call it that"

"The City by the Bay it is." he agrees "They -do- have excellent sourdough. And other attractions; we could visit Alcatraz. Cruise the bay. Wine tours. Food tours. Wine and food tours. Five-star dining....."

"I sense your hoping for a lot of wine drinking" A grin

"Well, it -is- prime country for it."

She smiles "Well, I want YOU to have fun also... and I think you like wine and sourdough so it works. "

"And seafood." he points out.

"WHITE wine it is" CC chuckles "at least a light blush anyway. I Do want to check out the music scene while we're there as well?"

"Oh! Frisco does have a reputation for a music scene, yes!"

"I had heard" A wink "I love the stage, but there's a joy in being in the crowd"

"How long would you care to visit?" a prickly topic; he gets cranky after 'too long.'

"Mmm why don't we make a weekend of it, 3 days tops.. maybe just two?"

"Well. Travel days do take effort. So... a day going out... .although... how do you wish to travel?"

"now that's a fair question. SInce time is of the essence, why not plane? Business class?"

"First class." with a sly smile.

"We'll start the wine tasting early."

A purr "I was trying to be only mildly spoiled but if you insist. Shall I wear that dress while we fly? "

"Yes please....." intently.

She looks at her legs, shapely human up top but turning into furry high socks with hooves at the lower half "Hope I still have the legs for that one"

"You -DO-." he insists.

"That's one thing I love about you, hun. You let me fish for compliments even when I'm a sublte about as dynamite. Okay, you work out the best weekend for us and we'll put our worries on that time aside"

"First class to San Francisco, tours and five-star lodging....."

"Can we get a room with a hot tub? Or at least a jaccuzi? I know the beach will be right there but I hear the pacific is a bit nippy and I do like a good soak with bubbles"

"Mmm... the Pacific is warming of the two great oceans but yes. I will find a five-star hotel with such a thing."

"Thank you" she says simply "Now on the plainer discussion, how do you feel about pork chops tonight? Country fried or BBQ style? I have some and I need to use them before they expire. PRefernce?"

"What style of BBQ are you thinking?" a professional's question.

"Given where we live, I thought I might try ye olde Kansas City Barbecue style, dry rub, slow smoked, sweet and tangy sauce. But I can go another if you like?"

"Kin ah help yew?" he echoes a KC BBQ call to BBQ.

SHe laughs "ALways, you know how I love cooking with you. And we DO cook well together. Though if you ever want a night to be spoiled as I tend to you, let me know"

"Dearest Callidora, you satisfy me on every level, with every moment." he promises her, taking her hands.

She delights as he does and gives a squeeze "And you make me quiver with a joy I thought died years ago, but with you it's new again"

He leans over and offers a kiss.
