"Slyfoot, you go with Hugh and stay there."

"Awww Fairy God father, they're making me to to SCHOOL there!" He says "It's like slavery!"

"Hardly."

Hugh has transformed after stepping to the side, and has looked at the boy "Education is the most important meal of the day. Come with me"

Slyfoot says "He's gonna eat me, Fairy God father. I know it"

Hugh assures "I had a big breakfast." Then a grin "It whistled."

"Shoo."

"Mean," The boy laments, but as he is shooed, he is carried off by Hugh. /Hugh calls back "I'll be back in time for Pekinese hour, boss"

"Take your time." and he heads back out to the House to check on operations.

Things are going well.

And he will do his best to see that state continues.

CC later asks him, "What was that all about?"

He explains.

"Oh dear lord" She chuckles "In a way, it's sweet. He wuvs his Fairy God father"

Another, extended, grumble.

She snuggles him a bit "I know I know. You didn't ask to be such an amazing grampa figure"

"I am -not- a grandpa."

She nods faux contritely "Yes, sir"

"Hmph."

"Now, how can I make up this traumatic event to you?" She offers, a promise in her eyes

"Hardly -traumatic-." he tempers, then a small smile "You don't owe me anything, Dearest."

"I like doing things for you, and TO you" She smiles "And if you don't think I notice how patient you are with that boy and others I let trot into our lives, well, I do. So, let me spoil you a little" A fuss

"How could I possibly resist?" he says with anticipation.

A smile "Now, any special requests. I will cook whatever you want, or maybe we'll go out and do whatever you want"

"Would it bore you to go home and cook together?"

"I'll tell you a secret" She whispers in his ear , "I love cooking with you. When we first met, I loved putting on that apron and having you join me, sharing every step of the meal for two. "

"I worry my own preferences might be too sedate for such a vivacious nature." he confesses.

"If there is one advantage to being a 'grump'" She rolls her eyes at the term, "It's made me appreciate a slow building heat. Warmth over fireworks. "

"You do have a point." William admits. "Then home to cook, and eat, and then......"

"And then? Who knows.." A smile "Maybe we'll watch old movies. Maybe we'll read books side by side, me leaning against you. Maybe.. maybe we'll have to entertain each other. I think it will be, no, I KNOW it will be wonderful"

"Let's go, then. I don't want to wait a moment longer."

She nuzzles him "let's... " And they close somethings up, and head on home

And after they cook, and eat.......

.....they do the dishes.

Mmm dishes!
