The shadowing begins!

Sounds more ominous than it is...

Grover and Tabitha each get their own set tasks on which to handle first

One in the back of house, one in the front; BoH will start at the wash-up sink, and FoH will start bussing tables.

OOC Back of House/Front of House.

Neither seems a stranger. Tabitha ends up bussing at first, while Grover washes. Tabitha does okay for a beginner. She's quick to clear up a table, but while not clumsy, she doesn't consider the best way to stack etc

Grover works slow and steady, clean, but he needs to pick it up

A week each should help even things out.

It must be said, when told to speed it up, Grover apologizes and picks it up. Tabitha is given some advice on how to stack more effectively by a coworker... and takes it

CC is busy with her applicants.

While he keeps an eye on things, he leaves it up to the seasoned staff to help the new.

This means , as he is one eyed, he almost doesn't notice CC clip clopping towards him. Oh of course he does. She clips clops

One eye and a sly smile. "Dearest, I hope the evening is going well for you?"

"Actually, not bad. I'm subjecting both girls to a play list of various jazz and blues renditions, hoping to see what pulls to them out of the various styles. " Then wryly "No pole dancing attempted." a wink

He chuckles.

"How are your two doing?" She asks

"Some rough edges, but these are learnable skills. Waiting and hosting... that will be more of a test."

"Sounds like Tabitha is more confident, which could be both a plus and trouble for her in the long run"

"In life as well as here."

"True, a not productive statement on my part. I thought you should know, we've been invited to dinner with Caesar and April . They found a sitter for the kids who isnt me" Amuised

"Delightful." with a smile "Is there an occasion?"

"None that I know of. Though honestly if they're having another child I'm going to need a key to the bar"

"Do you think they are?" he blinks.

"I don't think so" she says

"But you asked if there was an occasion and that came to mind"

"Perhaps they are simply celebrating the occasion of finding a new babysitter." he hopes "I suppose we'll find out."

"You've a good point. That's worth celebrating" A chuckle then he gets a kiss "I'll text them yes then. I need to get back to my apprentices"

"Oh, it's a yes, absolutely." he returns the kiss.

She savors, then parts "Have fun..."

A rotweiler shoots by...

Hugh in his animal form

"That's..different" CC observes

"-In- the Club, Hugh?" exasperated, he follows to see what caused this aberration.

Folks turn to see the dog going by, confusion on some faces, amusement on others

Stodgepole mutters to himself as he follows, threatening a service dog harness or worse....

"Get out of my KITCHEN, Hugh" Teensy says, then nods as the boss comes in.

Hugh is howling, and facing a pantry!

"Hugh, you really -cannot- do this in the House or kitchen...." but he goes over and opens the pantry.

Inside the pantry he finds a boy with a dog whistle. A boy with rabbit ears, "Whistle's broken" He declares

Isn't he supposed to be at the FARM?

A frown. "What are you doing here, boy?"

Hugh looks relieved

Slyfoot looks about the pantry he's in (He's mushed some goods a bit) then says "Making music?"

"Get out of there, and put that whistle away. Where is your mother?"

"Greenacres is the place to be"

he nods

He does hope down, and starts to put the whistle away, only to have Hugh chomp and swallow it. The rotweiler then snorts as if to say 'there'

"He's not a support animal at all" Slyfoot laments

Stodgepole rolls his eyes. "Hugh, can you see Slyfoot back to the DeBuke farm?"

"Wuff" Hugh nods
