"So Kourtney thinks I'm the mastermind?" Amusement sprkles in CC eyes

"She may somehow have gotten that impression. And to be fair, you -do- control things." mildly and not without pride.

"Moi? " She puts her hand to her chest under her neck, "Why darling, you know I'm bespelled by you" Then a smile "But I am amused to say the least."

"I'm glad to have brought a smile to those lips...." with a rougish grin.

"You so often do" She kisses him lightly, at least, at first

Oh, he enjoys that, sighing with pleasure.

When they part, he asks "You have your grandchild-fix for the moment?"

"I did, thank you for indulging it" She says

"Very welcome." he putters for a bit, getting them each a drink before settling into his lounger.

"I want to gush about each and everyone of them"

"But, a drink is nice too, " She takes it "What do you think of their new Hearth by the way?"

"She seems to have things well in hand for her relative age and experience. I suppose crisis will temper her a bit, when it comes."

"Yes, she's had to grow up fast but there's a crucible in her future eventually. There always is. I know enough Soothsy to know the farm is very likely to know a lot of pain in each generation"

"And you use your Soothsay to spy on the Farmhold? Well, understandable I suppose."

"Mmm not sure if it's spying if the Mountain knows I did a reading"

"Emmitt has eyes and ears, doesn't he." grudging admiration.

"He's a sorcerer, and with breadth as well as depth," She nods "The whole place is entertwined with his wards. I've been thinking of incorporting some of the designs to protect our own place but the working would be pretty draining"

"Have you seen something that suggests we need stronger stuff?"

"Not really, just... I can't decide if it's worry or a flicker of true intuition?"

He sits up and sets his drink down. "Trust your gut, Dearest." seriously.

A nod "Then I think a few more wards might be in the working"

"We will make it happen." he promises "What do you need?"

"First I have to research"

"Of course."

"But let's conserve some dross for a start" She smiles "Heck, a quest maybe involved"

"I am yours to command." he offers galantly "I'll start collecting up bits and bobs."

She strokes his cheek "My hero... my anti-hero really, and they are SO much more interesting"

A chuff of laughter. "Heroism is really -not- a goal of mine, Dearest."

"Like I said, so much more interesting"

"But it's okay, you look good in a black hat" A smile

He chuckles, takes his drink up and sips it. "What do you think you'll do next with your DeBuke assignees at the Club?"

"Going to see if they'll stand up for themselves"

"Oo. Put them to the test?"

"It's a notion... it's great they're sso eager to please, but they need to find out what boundaries matter to them"

"You are not wrong. I think I will wait a bit longer, with mine. I want them to be able to do the work first."

"Each at the pace best for them" A nod

"Yes." sip.

A drink then "mmm should we do anything for May the 4th? Creature Cantina Jazz or me dressing up like Princess Leia?"

"Oh, I'm 100% behind that, Dearest! Shall I be Jabba?"

A chuckle "Oh dear... you want to hold my cord?"

"More likely you have -me- chained to -you-."

"Well, you'd look adorable in a dark helmet and a breather too, but whatever you like, love. I'll thr4ow some ideas your way. "

"I will welcome that." He smiles.

"Now, beyond that... what other plans do we have for May?" (PRESSES SEND)

"Well. Beltane."

"Oh, my word, I knew there was important one in May"

William looks at her with curious concern.

"What's that look for?"

"Nothing." with a smile. He sips. "What pleases you for that occasion?"

"I thought we might visit the Farmhold for that, but mmm we do have our own hold and fire"
