"Oh understood, Gerri. You and your daughter doing most of this yourself? Can't be easy. Let us know if you need some more help. We might know a few people"

CC glances at Emerson as she offers the aid.

"Tsk. We can certainly assist. Our staff is always looking for new experiences and hours. Happy to help."

"Uh, we're tight on money" Ester says cautiously

"Ester" Clearly Gerri agrees but to ssay it outloud

"Think nothing of it. It will be a help to our staff and we're in no rush to be repaid." with a smile. "Think of it as a way to build a strong neighborhood."

"I.. I thank you, but honor demands we repay you somehow " Gerri insists "Perhaps with some clothing adjustments or repair?"

"oh we could do that easy" Ester says

CC admits "Well, we evetually always need a touch up or a mend. THat's true"

"AH" Gerri looks relieved . "Good . Repaying our debts is important to us, right Ester?"

"Very" Ester agrees.

"ISn't it important to us all?" CC gives Emerson a squeeze, despite the fact THIS time of year neither is close to Seelie

That assures Gerri "Thank you. " She reaches for a phone "PErhaps I should give you our contact information?"

"Capital idea, yes! Let's...." and he offers a card.

Information is exchanged

And soon, the visit is over, CC chuckles as she walks across the street with Emerson "Costume repair may have just got cheaper for our acts"

"Oh my, do you think so?" mildly.

A glance at him "I take it you're too tickled with yourself for having gotten us 'protection' Samhain night?"

"Well... no. Good heavens, did I leave them with the idea that we would -not- be at the Club?"

He looks alarmed.

"That's what you said at first, but then you said 'Thank you so much for the offer, it will keep me warm on a cold night'... you meant the kindess of it, I'm sure but it seemed to me that it was read differently"

He groans. "I am slipping into my dotage."

"And here I thought you had designs to show Gerri and Ester the delights to be had on the unseelie side" A hip bunk "She's obviosuly spent time in a hold, that Gerri. Too young looking even for a grump to have a daughter that old. And I know you enjoy corrupting them tall and blue"

"Mm." he sighs "Well. The real enjoyment comes in investing in a relationship, building connections, slowly but surely drawing them to the things they'd never otherwise consider, and seeing those things as right and just....."

"Ah, so Samhain would be a cheat and too easy?"

"It would be only a beginning. The true... satisfaction comes from the long game."

"mmm' A smirk "I know you like tall women. One of the few reasons I wear high heels"

"Ah yes." a little sheepishly "I think it is the challenge."

She wiggle bumps him "Well, how many of our staff do you think will be willing to help them?"

"Oh, enough. Especially if I pay them. Some of them might work for voile."

"I hadn't thought of that. I mean, the paying them YES. I don't pay my workers in 'exposure', but the voile part? Mmm yes" A nod "Some of the lads have muscle too. Now that we're no longer as needful of all security on deck"

"Just so. And.... well, Gerri is not a bad looking woman. Ester either for that matter."

"True, the lads might work just to flex" A smile "We could probably send food over there too to feed the troops?"

"An excellent idea."

"Look at us, so generous offering up the lads, or lasses, a chance at a sexy mother or daughter as they prefer" A wink

He chuckles "Well, we will ask who might be interested in a bit of friendly neighbor."

"I hear you" A nod "And if you wish to make a move on Gerri and turn her into your big blue piece on the side, I understand" magnamously "her name is too much like Kerri for me not to find the idea entertaining"

He chuckles, but shakes his head. "No. At least, I think not. Kerri and I have history; that is what makes it interesting."

"Mmm" A nod "I understand. Her loss, both their losses actually"

"Bah. We would not have happy together."

"oh no complaints on MY end" CC takes his hand and squeezes as they enter the club

"I'm so pleased to hear your end is happy." he says, giving the same a small squeeze.

She laughs and waggles her rear at him juuust a bit

A few volunteers are found, enticed, and sent over
