National novel writing month and Jazz was an odd combination, and yet, folks have gathered at the tables set outside the club with laptops, phones, and in some rare cases, even pen and paper! Ye gods

And it was all CC's idea. Good will from the community, a way to maybe turn strangers into regulars, and yes, maybe even muse a few dreamers.

... but we get ahead of ourselves.

William, for his part, knows well that every aspiring author (not to mention successful or even half-successful one!) who mentions they are writing will have approximately 492,982 friends, family, acquainances, and even strangers in the street lead with "You know, I have an idea for a novel....."

Excellent! Bring them along to this event!

Many who thought they would be bored are carefully guided by the rounded host that is the boggan, and introduced to foods he is sure they'll love, drinks that bring good cheer, and more. CC likes to say that they both have means of seduction, of a sort. She maybe playful about it, but she is not jesting.

"I thought I was burnt out on all things pumpkin" One woman admits "But these are delicious"

"So glad I could tempt you." he says with avuncular amusement. "Do have another."

Pumpkin Spice, really, is the draw... but what's the harm in that?

Indeed. Samhain over, but it was..eventful. And he has a buzz from it still

As, he hopes, does Callidora.

Indeed, she is leaning over one man, admriing a paragraph he's written ... the man is definitely going to be motivated

CC does join Emerson "How's it going?" A smile

"Mmm. Oh, I suppose we'll get by." with an answering smile.

A pat on his shoulder "How are our coffee supplies? Half of this crew seems to run on it"

"Oh, we're well situated." Indeed; the Club offers hot coffee almost 'round the clock and he ensures the stores are well supplied.

"I should have realized you had it more than covered" A kiss of his ear "Go spread your suggestions of insurrection"

Indeed, some novels being worked on have themes he highly approves of

And he does, encouraging and observing through a pair of hornrimmed
glasses.

About an hour later, glamour pops up from one young woman writing a story titled 'Better a Witch than a Queen'.

William lifts a brow at Callidora and indicates the girl with a nod. Ladies first.

She walks over to gently tell the lady how well she's doing ,and drinks up just a bit before nodding to him back

He smiles; this pleases him.

'Your turn' CC mouths and moves off

He winks at her with a smirk and goes over to freshen the girl's coffee.

Coffee gets refreshed, and Emerson savors dreams of death to the patriarchy and haves

well, death is only in a few chapters, but it's very empowering.. and quite tastey

"I think you're on to something there, my dear." he encourages "You have a real understanding of the issues -and- a talent with the lanugage. Nicely done."

She blushes "Thank you. Honestly if it weren't for spell checkers I'd be out of luck."

He chuckles "To be fair, consistant spelling is a relatively new invention. Don't be bound by the constraints of others, at least not in the creative process."

"that's what they say, that editing can come after you hit the goal, but sometimes, when I try to spell some word with more than three vowels in a specific order, and I can hear a great cry, as if a thousand English teachers cried out in pain, and then were suddenly silenced"

He whispers with authority "They. Are. Lying. To. You." a nod, and he moves on.

She beams at that

And he moves on.

Then is surprised to see April Maude. She seems vaguely happily disoriented. Ah, the enchantment on her is wearing off. Given her clothes are a bit more risque than normal, it would appear the kinain had an interesting Samhain

He arrives with a chuckle and a coffee pot. "Hello and welcome!" pleasantly, but without too much familiarity; best to gauge where she's at, first.

"Hi" SHe eyes the coffee pot as if searching "Got something, with a bit of.. pep to it? Something.. enlightning?"

"I think that can be arranged." he smiles and sets the pot down to add cream and sugar to her cup himself, and then the excellent Ethiopean blend of beans that he adds just a pinch of salt and mint to. He stirs it himself, and then passes the mug to her, just touching her fingertips as he does. That should do it.

The glamour fills her and she recharges, "Oh thanks loads" Relieved then she says soft "nice to know even 'this time of the year ' I can be grateful. I am having a wicked day off" pleased "I dont' remember half of last night, but I'm tickled. June Maude is...visiting and even deeper in the whole than I am"

The reserved redheaded June Muade is normally the most traditional... but then she's normally Seelie. Unseelie wise she's quite a different person, which probably is amusing her sister no end.

"Oh -my-....." he says with a twinkle in his eye "Visiting where?"

"Oh, Caesar, who is very much in what he calls his 'asshole' phase" She looks amused and whispers "Truthfully, I don't mind him in that mood nearly as much as he does. Anyway, I have a free babysitter in my sister so I get to induldge in a bit of writing. I wanted to make up something spicy to entertain my man later"

"Ah, my dear, you always have -us- should you wish time to yourself." he points out. "But I am glad June is ... well, getting out a bit."

"Mmm Not sure she'll see daylight" wryly "When the kids are asleep anyway. But thanks. "

"I am sure they will take precautions." he says comfortably "And let me know if you need anything."

"Actually, you might be able to help me out" She answers "you know of course I'm graduating soon?"
