The man tries to use cover, but while it makes the shot trickier, it doesn't stop Emerson from grazing him

the man curses, and fires back

were it not for the cover Emerson has, that would have really hurt, instead he merely gets a graze in return

not that that feels GOOD thanks

A soft grunt, and he readies to fire again.

the badly wounded one curses "I can't help"

"Find the aquisition" another guy says binding him up while the third and EBG exchange fire

speaking of which, the two grazzees do fire again

(EBG being one of the grazes, you may roll dex plus firearms again)

The third guy who shot him earlier, leans out, hoping for a pop and back move... but Emerson has seen that move, possibly used it, and even at this time of night, the moon casts shadows. it gives the guy away, he comes out, and gets it, right in the damn head

and down he goes, if he's not dead, he wants to be.

William lines up the next shot, careful and methodical as always; no hot-head he, not in combat like this.

"Jesus, this guy's either lucky, or good"says the second one "I found her... we need to use her as a shield"

"You don't risk the aquisition!' the other says and fires a spray towards Emerson, wrong hand.. his shots wide

Lefty tries to use a pile of wooden debris as cover, it doesn't work like he hoped as it turns out bullets can often go through crappy material and kill you anyway, the movies don't mention that!

So down he slumps? Alive? Dead, hard to say, but he's very out of it now.

William lines up the next shot.

The second and now only man standing calls out "You here for the singer?"

"I want to negotia- " And the bullet hits the man in the shoulder "Iate! Please stop.. she's yours, just le me get out of here!"

and the sound of running as the guy makes a break for it

Emerson could chase after and hope to finish him off if he wanted but the wisp waits to lead him to CC

Of course, she's close as someone saw her so he might have tim for a chase, they clearly didn't want her dead

A soft growl of blood-lust rarely heard from a boggan.... but he puts the gun away and goes to Callidora.

And he finds her, passed out on a low ledge, the drug finally having gotten to her

He casts a Veil over then, using dross; his bunk is a soft kiss on her lips.

It takes like a charm

Hidden, he gets more dross for a Flickerflash to the Club and the Flame.

And they are gone... appearing near the fire

He plucks the dart out, setting it carefully aside for later analysis, and checks Callidora for vital signs.

Almost instantly, the fire seems to be outraged on CC's behalf! How dare they do this to the Diva? Oh, there will be reprecutions!

cc 's vitals seem good. She's doped but not in danger

He drags her (with love!) to the 'Fireside and covers her with a blanket.... then the effort hits him, and he sinks to her side.

Oh yes it will. He might need some bale himself

No matter; Callidora is safe.

He smooths the hair gently back from her forehead, taking just a moment.

she mumbles in her sleep

"Sssh... " he whispers "It's alright now. We're safe. You ridiculous, headstrong, maddening creature, you."

After a bit he gets up. carefully, slowly, and gingerly.... and makes his way to fetch some water and glasses, bringing them back to the 'Fireside.

And a call on his phone!
