June looks surprised, because apparently "I enjoy it too"

"Miss CC does the most amazing rendition of... what was that song, Dearest, from the movie?" he snaps his fingers.

"Go to sleep little baby?" A smile "Though I have also done 'a man of constant sorrow' not my usual styles but fun"

"I've noticed, on babysitting nights, the little ones drift right of on that one." Emerson tells the mothers, and father "Myself too, often."

"Clearly I need to learn how to sing" April sighs

"Hear you there, sister" June says

Caesar is just glad the subject is off pea flicking

Emerson glances at CC.

"Happy to help ladies, if you're serious" CC raises a brows

"Oh no I don't have time.." June protests

"Too shy" April back pedals

"Too busy and too shy to sing to your babies?" Emerson looks lost.

"Well..." June squirms

"Come on girls, you've heard me sing" Caesar suggests

"You're a satyr, that's an advantage" April points out

"Music belongs to us all, " CC assured

"Hear hear." he lifts his glass in agreement.

April says "I'll do it if June does. C'mon, June, you can visit from the farm for an hour a week or so?"

June huffs, then "Okay"

And CC's eyes light up devilishly, and she shares a pleased smile with Emerson

"Oh, lovely. Miss CC, at the house do you think?"

"Of course" CC says delighted

"I shall make snacks."

"You'll bring the babies?"

"Well, they'll be screaming not singing but... " arrangements are made, but seven one year old (and some months) are a handful and eventually the celebration ends with bed tucking and soon, CC and EBG are alone again, arm in arm

"I had a fun time" CC smiles at him

"I am glad." a soft kiss.

Mmm a kiss back "What did you think?"

"Caesar certainly as a full plate. More than one, perhaps. The ladies are as they ever have been, although it was good to see June unthaw slightly. Must be the summer heat." a smirk.

"Oh please, she can act country prim all she wants, but June Maude was side by side May Maude and April Maude in that barn with Caesar. She's just scared of her wild side... but yes, slight is progress I suppose" A smirk back

"Get her singing and who knows what's next? Midriff time......"

"Hm." he frowns in concentration, thinking back and searching his memory.

"Hm?"

"I'm trying to recall if there was any sign of jealous in June when Clementine's suitors...."

"Maybe less jealousy for a particular fellow and more wishing she still had a sex life?"

"Mmmm... could be. Which, of course, we could assist her with."

"Oh you remember that bet..." Surprised, but pleasantly so

"Of -Course-!"

"Might make her more managable in letting the kids get a rounded education, lovely"

And he's rewarded with a kiss

"Mmmmm....." less nostalgic, more interested "And, they'll come to the house."

"Oh dear, is that a down side for you? it's okay if it is. We can work on.. other places"

"No! No, I think that's -far- more in line with our thoughts. Let them come to the house. Bring the children. Yes, indeed."

"Okay. I don't want you feeling like you've lost haven" A Kiss

He returns it "They're coming to sing, not moving in, correct?" amused.

A laugh "No no. They're not moving in. "

"Then all is well. If my business requires privacy, I have the Club or the Hotel."

"I suppose you would but I don't plan on it being necessary"

"And nor do I. I'll have to be good until we see if they will continue lessons."

"Do you think they -can- sing?"
